摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stronger multilayer piezoelectric ceramic actuator, and a method for manufacturing the muiltilayer piezoelectric ceramic actuator.
SOLUTION: A security layer 20 includes particles 30 incorporated in a matrix material 32. There is a thin gap 34 between each particle 30 and each adjacent piezoelectric ceramic layer 12. During the manufacturing of multilayer piezoelectric ceramic actuators, a mixture of the matrix material 32 and the particles 30 is laminated between green (unfired) sheets. After that, the mixture of the matrix material 32 and the particles 30 is heated to a temperature that is raised for a predetermined time. During this process, the green sheet is converted into the piezoelectric ceramic layer 12, and an electrode layer is converted into an internal electrode. The mixture of the matrix material 32 and the particles 30 is converted into the security layer 20. Thereby, general effective bond between the security layer 20 and the adjacent piezoelectric ceramic layer 12 is reduced.

SOLUTION: A security layer 20 comprises: a matrix material 32; and particles 30 embedded in the matrix material 32. A thin gap 34 exists between each particle 30 and each adjacent piezoceramic layer 12. During manufacture of the multilayer piezoceramic actuator, a mixture of the matrix material 32 and particles 30 is laminated between green (unbaked) sheets. The mixture of the matrix material 32 and the particles 30 is then heated to a temperature in a predetermined time period. During the process, the green sheets are converted to a piezoceramic layer 12, and an electrode layer is converted to an internal electrode, and the mixture of the matrix material 32 and the particles 30 is converted to the security layer 20. The mechanical connection of the piezoceramic layer 12 is degraded by the security layer 20.
