摘要： A multiport valve has a plurality of inlets and outlets with selected positions to selectively direct fluid differently through the valve based on the position of the valve. A cylindrical exterior stemshell rotates internal to a housing to position channels and/or bores to provide the desired flow paths. Some flow paths are channels which extend linearly from one port to another, whether formed into an exterior surface, parallel to an axis of rotation of the stemshell, or pass from an inlet to an outlet in the exterior surface of the stemshell, preferably separated from flow from flow to an internal passage, which is preferably colinear with the axis of rotation, for at least some embodiments.

摘要： Embodiments of a multi-port multi-mode valve are provided. The multi-port multi-plane valve includes a housing which defines an internal cavity. The housing further includes a plurality of ports, including two inlet ports and four outlet ports. Each of the plurality of ports is in communication with the internal cavity. A shell body is rotatably disposed within the internal cavity and provides selectable fluid communications between the ports. A seal member is also provided which has a plurality of openings and surrounds the shell body. Six modes of operation are provided by rotation of the shell body.

A filter element assembly is arranged in the cavity and includes an end cap supporting the filter media. An element guide is arranged between the end cap and the housing. The element guide includes a first set of tabs engaging the end cap and a second set of tabs engaging the housing. The number of tabs in each set are equal to one another so that they will exert the same biasing force when installed in either orientation. The tabs extend away from a base at a height that is the same on each side of the base.
