    • A method and apparatus for pattern matching using packet reassembly are provided. The pattern matching method using packet reassembly includes: extracting serial information in relation to a current input packet; determining whether or not pattern matching result information in relation to one or more previous packets and/or subsequent packets on the basis of the serial number of the current input packet is already stored; loading the pattern matching result information in relation to the previous packets and/or subsequent packets; and reassembling the loaded pattern matching result information in relation to the previous packets and/or subsequent packets and the current input packet and performing pattern matching with attack patterns which are already stored. Accordingly, by using packet reassembly, a method and apparatus for pattern matching capable of reducing memory usage without lowering the speed can be provided

    • A bracket for a disk drive, including: a base plate containing the disk drive; a side wall portion vertically protruded from an end portion of the base plate; and a displacement portion extended from the side wall portion and bending due to a vibration transmitted by making contact with the disk drive. Accordingly, a bracket according to the present invention has an improved buffering ability without installing a buffer. Also, the bracket can not only effectively protect a disk drive from an external impact but also be applied to an electric device such as a portable device. Also, a bracket according to another embodiment can prevent mutual interference between circuits provided on the bracket.

    • The present invention relates to method and apparatus for providing an arbitrary sound chosen by a called subscriber instead of ringback tone to a calling subscriber. In this present invention, if a call is received, a terminating exchanger requests a trunk connection to a sound db server based on the first information on whether or not to replace a ringback tone and the second information on a route to the sound db server that are received from a home location register (HLR), and provides a called subscriber identification for the sound server. Then, the sound db server searches its db for a sound specified by the called, and provides the found sound for the caller instead of a conventional ringback tone via the terminating exchanger connected through a trunk. Through this sequential procedure of network elements, a caller can hear a sound specified by a called instead of a dry ringback tone.

    • Provided is a microelectromechanical system (MEMS) actuator in which a cantilever piezoelectric actuator and a comb actuator are combined to perform dual shaft drive. The MEMS includes: a stationary comb fixed on a substrate; a movable comb disposed separately from the substrate; and a spring connected to the movable comb and the substrate to resiliently support the movable comb, wherein the movable comb includes a piezoelectric material layer in a laminated manner to be perpendicularly moved by a piezoelectric phenomenon and laterally moved by an electrostatic force to the stationary comb, whereby the MEMS actuator can be used in a driving apparatus of an ultra-slim optical disk drive since the movable comb is made of a piezoelectric material to simultaneously perform focusing actuation to a Z-axis as well as planar actuation.
