    • A contact arm 15 of a driving tool is disposed to be movable in a vertical direction along an eject path on a nose part 4 disposed in a lower portion of a tool main body 2. A leading end portion of the contact arm is projected beyond a leading end of the nose part 4. In a nail driving operation, the contact arm is moved upward with respect to the nose part 4 to thereby activate an operation of a trigger. The nose part 4 includes a small-thickness wear plate 9 integrally connected to the tool main body 2, and a small-thickness driver guide 8 connected to a front portion of the wear plate 9. A leading end member 17 of the contact arm 15 is disposed to be slidable along a rear surface of the wear plate 9. An elastic contact top 18 is fixed to an outer surface of a leading end of the leading end member 17.

    • A forced oscillatory flow type heat pipe of which a ratio (motion coefficient) of the heat transport capacity to the oscillating energy is maintained within an appropriate range is provided. A heat pipe body (1) has a closed loop flow path (2). Operation of the vibrator (3), which is provided at a connecting portion (2a) between the ends of the flow path (2), causes an oscillatory flow of the charged liquid sealed in the flow path (2). The phases of the oscillatory flows of the charged liquid in the adjacent tube portions of the flow path are inverted. From a viewpoint that the dimensionless effective thermal diffusivity kef* of the COSMOS type heat pipe has a larger range in the modified Womersley number &agr; than that of the dream type heat pipe, the modified Womersley number &agr; is 0.4 to 7.

    • An approach prevention wall for preventing a head portion of a lead nail from unnecessarily approaching is protruded on a front inner wall of the nose section of the nailing machine. The nose section accommodates the lead nail of connected nails, and the connected nails are connected with a connecting member. A lower end face of the approach prevention wall is inclined, and the inclined face of the lower end face of the approach prevention wall is formed at a position where the height of the inclined face is substantially the same as that of a position where the connecting member to connect the lead nail with the next nail is cut off at the time of driving the lead nail. Otherwise, the inclined face of the lower end face of the approach prevention wall is formed at a position where its height is higher than that.

    • A nailing machine is provided with a nailing machine body 1 in which a contact arm 16 is arranged so as to slide along a nose portion 10, and a plurality of contact noses 2(3) having different inside diameters. The contact noses 2(3) can be mounted to and dismounted from a lower end of the contact arm 16, and nails having different diameters can be used by exchanging the contact noses 2(3). The inside diameter of the nose portion 10 is so formed as to fit to a large nail 21 having the largest head diameter among the nails to be used. A diameter of a driver 5 is so formed as to fit to the contact nose 2(3) for a small nail 22 having the smallest head diameter. A conical pipe portion 25 which is upwardly enlarged in diameter for guiding a nail tip is formed in an upper part of the contact nose 2(3). An upper end of this conical pipe portion 25 is so formed as to have a larger diameter than that of the nose portion 10.
