    • A shift assist projection is provided on a large bicycle sprocket to assist in shifting a chain to the sprocket from an adjacent smaller sprocket. The shift assist projection extends axially from one side of the sprocket. The shift assist projection has an axially facing chain catching surface that faces the center plane and the teeth of the large sprocket to engage an outer link plate of the chain. The chain catching surface is preferably angled a varying amount relative to the center plane of the large sprocket. The chain catching surface preferably has a rearward most rotational edge that is located closer to the center plane than a forward most rotational edge as viewed substantially along a moving direction of the chain when the chain is being shifted from the smaller sprocket to the large sprocket.

    • A crankset is provided that is mounted on a crank spindle rotatably mounted in a hanger component of a bicycle and that meshes with a chain. The crankset includes a plurality of sprockets, a crank component, and a chain guard. The plurality of sprockets are lined up in the axial direction so that the number of teeth increases outward in the axial direction. The crank component has a plurality of arm portions extending radially for fixing the plurality of sprockets. The chain guard is provided substantially in ring form on the inner side, the side disposed toward the hanger component, of the small-diameter sprocket with the fewest teeth of the plurality of sprockets such that the gap between the hanger component and the inner side is smaller than the size of the chain.

    • A bicycle hydraulic brake actuation device includes a hydraulic master cylinder housing having a bore, a lever, a master piston and an adjuster. The lever is pivotally coupled to the hydraulic master cylinder housing for movement between an at rest position and a brake engagement position. The master piston is disposed within the bore and having an adjustment end. The adjuster is operably disposed between the adjustment end of the master piston and a portion of the lever. The adjuster is movable between a plurality of adjustment positions relative to the adjustment end such that with the lever in the at rest position, movement of the adjuster between the plurality of adjustment positions moves the master piston between a corresponding plurality of adjustment positions along an axial length of the bore.
