    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To pull an internal electrode of an alkali metal thermal to electric converter unit cell to the outside.SOLUTION: A porous metallic tube is manufactured to be used for a support and an internal electrode, a metallic filler is filled into a bent portion of the internal electrode, that is a portion 110 where the infernal electrode is opened inward and outward, to seal pores, a solid electrolyte 200 is coated in the form of a thin film on a remaining portion 120 excluding the bent portion of the internal electrode, and an external electrode 300 is coated on the solid electrolyte so that an alkali metal thermal to electric converter unit cell has durability and at the same time the solid electrolyte has a dense fine structure in the form of a thin film. The material of the internal electrode comprises at least one of Mo, Ti, T, Cu, Ni, Ni-Fe, Fe and Cu-Sn. The metal filler is filled in the head of the internal electrode by using one of a metal melt infiltration method and a filler metal method. The solid electrolyte is formed of one of a β-AlObased solid electrolyte and a NASICN based solid electrolyte.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modularized alkali metal thermal to electric converter cell which uses a metal support as an internal electrode, thereby not only requiring a separate collector but having durability and stability even in an environment at high temperatures and high pressures, very easily joins the cell to a housing by inserting the cell into an insulating portion and sealing, minimizes the number of parts and expands easily the system scale through a serial-parallel structure.SOLUTION: The modularized alkali metal thermal to electric converter cell comprises: a base tube including a metal support; a housing supporting the base tube; and a joiner which is located between the base tube and the housing and performs functions of insulation and sealing. The base tube comprises: a tubular internal electrode which is made of a porous metal material, functions as the metal support and has one closed side and the other open side; a solid electrolyte which is formed on an outer surface of the internal electrode; and an external electrode which is formed on an outer surface of the solid electrolyte, and an external electrode lead wire.
