摘要： A patient interface (8) for use in delivering a flow of a breathing gas to an airway of a patient includes an inner mask (20) having an inner cushion (30) with an inward curving inner sealing portion (32) that is structured to sealingly engage the face of the patient, and an outer mask (22) coupled to the inner mask. The outer mask has an outer cushion (60) with an outward curving outer sealing portion (62) that is structured to sealingly engage the face of the patient completely around, and outward from, the inner sealing portion of the inner mask. The inner mask is sized and configured to define a positive pressure cavity (36) for receiving the flow of breathing gas and convey the flow to the airway of the patient. The outer mask is sized and configured to define a negative pressure cavity (66) that encompasses the inner mask and capture any gases escaping the inner mask.

When the blocking portion of the valve member moves from the first position toward the second position, the blocking portion moves toward the protecting portion of the guard member.

摘要： A patient interface device is provided that includes a patient sealing assembly and a headgear assembly coupled to the patient sealing assembly. The headgear assembly includes an adjustment mechanism having a first portion, a second portion, and a fastening mechanism. The first portion has a first end and an opposite second end, with the first end being coupled to the patient sealing assembly. The second portion has a first end and an opposite second end, the first end movably coupled to the second end of the first portion and the second end coupled to a portion of the headgear assembly. The second portion is movable among a first position in which the first and second portions are generally aligned and a second position in which the first and second portions are disposed generally parallel. The fastening mechanism fastens the first and second portions in the second position.
