    • There is provided an underbody structure capable of exactly distributing and transmitting a front collision load to front and back skeleton portions of an underbody even in a case where the front collision load to be input from the front of a vehicle is concentrated on one side in a vehicle width direction. When a power unit 1 moves rearward due to an offset collision load of a right front face of a vehicle, a right connecting arm 7G of a sub-frame 7, an engine rear mount 7E, and right and left stoppers 7H and 7I receive an offset collision load from the power unit 1, thereby suppressing generation of an unintended rotative force in the power unit 1. The sub-frame 7 distributedly transmits an offset collision load to a rear portion 4A of a right front side member 4, and right and left tunnel reinforcements 5 and 5 mainly through four paths of a right beam 7D, a right load transmission beam 7J2, and right and left load transmission beams 7J3 and 7J4 of an intermediate portion.

    • The present invention aims at providing a vehicle body front-part structure which can efficiently disperse an impact load acting on the front part of a vehicle. In the vehicle body front-part structure in accordance with the present invention, a portion 6a of a radiator support supporting an upper part of a radiator arranged in the front part of a vehicle 2 is connected to a skeleton 9 of the vehicle body by a pair of first radiator support supporting members 4 which support it from both sides in the vehicle width direction, and second radiator support supporting members 11, 12 which are arranged on the inner side of the pair of first radiator support supporting members 4 in the vehicle width direction and support it from the backside. • A front structure 1 of a vehicle body has a shock absorber receiver 13 projecting forward from a dash panel 3, which is located at a position corresponding to a shock absorber 8 in a vehicle width direction and in a vehicle height direction. In the front structure 1 of the vehicle body, the shock absorber receiver 13 restricts backward movement of the shock absorber 8 upon a collision of a vehicle 2, so that a collision load acting on the shock absorber 8 can be efficiently dispersed to a framework of the vehicle body while being transmitted through the shock absorber receiver 13 to the dash panel 3. When the shock absorber 8 moves backward upon the collision of the vehicle 2, the shock absorber 8 comes into contact with the shock absorber receiver 13, and the distance becomes shorter between support points of the shock absorber 8 than before, so as to enhance flexural rigidity and reaction force.

    • A vehicle body structure that may be installed in a front part or in a rear part of a vehicle, includes a flexural portion disposed in respective side members extending in an anteroposterior direction of the vehicle and having a vertical bending strength smaller than that of other portions of the members. The vehicle body structure also includes a pendent portion hung on a lower part of the side member on an outer end side with respect to the flexural portion and having an anteroposterior bending strength larger than a bending strength of the flexural portion. The vehicle body structure enables the side members to absorb an impact with a simple configuration even in the event of a collision between vehicles with different bumper heights.

    • An armrest frame (5A) bends at a hinge groove (5A2), which serves as a weak portion, when an impact load is applied to the armrest frame (5A) in an armrest (5) following a side impact with another vehicle. As a result, the armrest (5) is allowed to move toward the inside, in the vehicle width direction, during a side impact with another vehicle, thus ensuring the movement of a seated individual toward the inside, in the vehicle width direction. The vehicle armrest (5) also provides the same sense of stability as an armrest as a conventional armrest during normal use at times other than when there is a side impact with another vehicle.
