    • The present invention relates to a flame-retardant thermoplastic resin composition comprising the following components (A) to (D):(A) 50 to 80 parts by weight of an aromatic polycarbonate resin;(B) 5 to 40 parts by weight of a rubber-reinforced thermoplastic resin prepared by graft-polymerizing monomer components comprising an aromatic vinyl monomer, a vinylcyanide monomer and optionally other copolymerizable vinyl-based monomers, with a rubber polymer, the amount of said vinylcyanide monomer used being not less than 0.5% by weight and less than 5% by weight based on the total weight of said monomer components;(C) 5 to 30 parts by weight of phosphate represented by the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 to R.sup.3 are the same or different and are independently an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms or an aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms; and n is 0 or 1,the total amount of the (A), (B) and (C) components being 100 parts by weight; and(D) 0.02 to 3 parts by weight of polytetrafluoroethylene based on the total weight of the (A), (B) and (C) components.

    • A rubber-reinforced styrene resin composition consisting essentially of:(1) 2-30% by weight of a grafted rubbery polymer wherein less than 30 parts by weight of a polymer of at least an aromatic alkenyl compound and an alkenyl cyanide compound are grafted onto 100 parts by weight of a conjugated diene rubber (I) having a weight average particle size of 0.26-0.6 .mu.m and a gel content of 30-80% by weight;(2) 5-40% by weight of a grafted rubbery polymer wherein 30 parts by weight or more of a polymer of at least an aromatic alkenyl compound and an alkenyl cyanide are grafted onto 100 parts by weight of a conjugated diene rubber (II) having a weight average particle size of 0.26-0.6 .mu.m and a gel content of 30-80% by weight; and(3) 40-93% by weight of a styrene copolymer of a monomer component consisting of at least one aromatic alkenyl compound and an alkenyl cyanide compound, and the difference between grafting degree of the component (1) and the grafting degree of component (2) being 15% by weight or more.

    • There is provided a recording and reproducing apparatus, a recording medium adapter apparatus, and a recording and reproducing method which allows exit from the power saving mode without conducting the reset using ejection and re-insertion of a recording medium. An FD drive device 20 includes a switch for detecting that an FD type card adapter 1 which conducts data processing to record data onto a memory card or reproduce data from the memory card has been inserted, and a luminous element 30 which conducts communication of predetermined control data to a light receiving element 8 of the FD type card adapter 1 in order to effect control related to data recording or reproducing operation. As a result, it is possible to restore the FD type card adapter from the power saving mode and shift the FD type card adapter to an arbitrary control state, without conducting the reset using ejection and re-insertion of a recording medium.

    • The present invention relates to a flame-retardant resin composition comprising:(A) 60 to 98 wt % of a thermoplastic resin comprising a rubber-reinforced resin (A-1) obtained by graft polymerizing a monomer component (b) comprising an aromatic vinyl or an aromatic vinyl and other monomer(s) copolymerizable therewith in the presence of a rubber-like polymer (a), a polymer (A-2) obtained by polymerizing the monomer component (b), or a mixture of (A-1) and (A-2); and(B) 40 to 2 wt % of a halogen type flame-retardant which comprises a mixture of compounds, the mixture comprising 5 to 60 mol % of a compound (B-1) having epoxy groups at both terminals of the molecular chain, 15 to 70 mol % of a compound (B-2) having epoxy group at one terminal alone and 5 to 80 mol % of a compound (B-3) having no epoxy group at both terminals.

    • The present invention relates to a flame retardant thermoplastic resin composition comprising: (A) 100 parts by weight of a rubber-reinforced thermoplastic resin comprising: a graft copolymer (A1) produced by graft-polymerizing a monomer component (b) containing an aromatic vinyl compound, a cyanided vinyl compound and, if required, the other copolymerizable monomer in the presence of a rubber polymer (a) containing polymer particles having a particle size of not more than 150 nm in an amount of 0 to 15% by weight, polymer particles having a particle size of from more than 150 to less than 350 nm in an amount of 60 to 100% by weight and polymer particles having a particle size of not less than 350 nm in an amount of 0 to 40% by weight, or a mixture of the graft copolymer (A1) and a copolymer (A2) of monomer component (b′), said rubber-reinforced thermoplastic resin (A) having a graft ratio of 20 to 150% and a rubber polymer content of 8 to 20% by weight; and (B) 5 to 20 parts by weight of a phosphorus-based flame retardant comprising a condensed phosphoric acid ester, a phosphazene compound or mixture thereof.
