    • The present invention relates to a releasing agent dispersion for toner including a releasing agent, and a dibasic acid containing an alkyl group and/or an alkenyl group or a salt of the dibasic acid, wherein at least one acid group of the dibasic acid is a carboxyl group; and a toner for electrophotography which is produced by aggregating and unifying releasing agent particles and resin particles contained in a dispersion produced by mixing or contacting the releasing agent dispersion with a resin dispersion. The releasing agent dispersion for toner according to the present invention has a good emulsifiability and a good emulsification stability, and is capable of producing a toner which is excellent in productivity and low-temperature fixing property.

    • The present invention relates to a process for producing a dispersion of polyester particles which includes the step of emulsifying mixed polyester containing (1) an amorphous polyester containing a constitutional unit derived from a trivalent or higher-valent carboxylic acid in an amount of from 2.0 to 12.0 mol % on the basis of whole constitutional units of the whole amorphous polyester and (2) a crystalline polyester, in an aqueous medium in a single vessel, or the step of mixing the mixed polyester with an organic solvent and then adding the aqueous medium to the resulting mixture to emulsify the mixed polyester in a single vessel. The present invention also relates to a dispersion of polyester particles produced by the above production process, as well as a toner for electrophotography which is produced by subjecting the dispersion of the polyester particles to aggregation and coalescence and is excellent in both of a low-temperature fusing property and an anti-hot offset property, and a process for producing the toner.

    • The present invention relates to a process for preparing a toner for electrophotography containing a resin binder and a colorant, including the step of preparing fine particles of the resin binder to have a volume-median particle size (D50) of from 0.05 to 3 μm in an aqueous medium in the presence of a nonionic surfactant within a temperature range of from 10° C. below to 10° C. above a cloud point of the nonionic surfactant; and a toner for electrophotography obtained by the process as defined above, wherein the toner contains 60% by weight or more of a crystalline polyester and has a volume-median particle size (D50) of from 1 to 7 μm. The toner obtained according to the process of the present invention can be suitably used, for example, in development of a latent image formed in electrophotography, electrostatic recording method, electrostatic printing method, or the like.
