      SOLUTION: The junction point 22 between the primary coil L1 of a transformer T1 and an NMOS transistor 12 and the junction point 24 between the secondary coil L2 and a diode D1 are connected together through a capacitor C1. In transition during which the NMOS transistor 12 transitions from on to off, the capacitor C1 is equivalently connected in parallel between the drain and source of the NMOS transistor 12 to absorb voltage arising from ringing. In transition during which the NMOS transistor 12 transitions from off to on, the capacitor C1 is equivalently connected in parallel between both ends of the diode D1 to absorb voltage arising from delay in the reverse recovery time of the diode D1. Thus switching loss due to the switching operation of the NMOS transistor 12 is reduced.
