    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saccharification reaction system where a raw material is fed into a reactor by a raw material feeder in a state suitable for saccharification and the raw material can be efficiently saccharified in the reactor.SOLUTION: A saccharification reaction system comprises: a reactor 14 in which a raw material 10 is subjected to a saccharification reaction; and a raw material feeder 20 which feeds the raw material 10 into the reactor 14 at predetermined intervals. The reactor 14 has a heating steam supply part 58 which increases the temperature of the raw material 10 fed from the raw material feeder 20 to a saccharification reaction temperature, and a feeding mechanism 54 which sequentially feeds the fed raw material 10 to a discharge port 56 in a predetermined short time while performing the saccharification reaction of the fed raw material 10 under high temperature and high pressure. The raw material feeder 20 is configured to feed the raw material 10 at a bulk density suitable for the saccharification reaction speed of the reactor 14.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a concentrated saccharified liquid which uses lignocellulosic biomass as raw material, removes easily lignin and its decomposition products contained in a saccharified liquid and includes a pretreatment method capable of reducing the load of the step of concentrating a saccharified liquid.SOLUTION: A saccharified liquid obtained by hydrolyzing cellulose type biomass is filtrated by a membrane separator equipped with a separation membrane having a cut-off molecular weight of 1,000-7,000 and fed to a reverse osmosis membrane apparatus or a nano filter membrane apparatus so as to concentrate. The membrane treatment causes saccharides having a small molecular weight and contained in the saccharified liquid transfers to the filtrate, and lignin and its decomposition products having a large molecular weight are discharged from the membrane separator as a concentrated liquid, leading to prevention of loss of saccharides contained in the saccharified liquid and easy prevention of fouling of the reverse osmosis membrane or nano filter membrane used in concentrating the saccharified liquid.

The cleaning water used for cleaning the residue is used as cleaning water for a cleaning water spraying device adjacent to the opposite side of a moving direction of the conveyor.
