    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-shielded arc welding flux cored wire for a high tensile strength steel, in the welding of a high tensile strength steel having a proof stress in a class of ≥620 MPa, capable of obtaining a weld metal having excellent low temperature toughness even in an extra low temperature of about -60°C, capable of securing satisfactory welding operability, and having excellent cracking resistance.

      SOLUTION: The high hardness weld metal has a multilayer structure comprising the reheat zone and the unaffected zone, and has a composition comprising, by mass, 0.02 to 0.12% C, 0.1 to 1.00% Si, 0.5 to 3.0% Mn, 0.008 to 0.05% Al, 0.005 to 0.04% Ti, 0.04 to 0.10% O, ≤0.0050% (exclusive of 0%) N, 0.40 to 2.0% Cu and/or 0.5 to 3.5% Ni, and the balance iron with inevitable impurities. The volume ratio of acicular ferrite included in the reheat zone is ≥50%, and the ratios of the metallic elements composing Al-Si-Ti-Mn based oxides with the maximum size of 1.0 to 5.0 μm included in the weld metal lie within Al: 5 to 50 atomic%, Si: ≤40 atomic% (inclusive of 0 atomic%), Ti: 0.5 to 10 atomic%, and Mn: 30 to 90 atomic% (wherein, Al+Si+Ti+Mn=100 atomic%).

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high hardness weld metal which exhibits excellent low temperature toughness at a region of minus 60°C and does not cause low temperature cracking and furthermore gives a superior bead shape in the whole posture welding.

Q value shown in the following formula (1) is in the range not less than -1.5 mass% and not more than 0.50 mass%, and the content of retained austenite is in the range not less than 5 vol% and not more than 20 vol%. Herein, Q value= -4.9[C]+0.18[Si]+[Al]-0.1[Mn]-0.5[Ni], wherein [ ] indicates content (mass%) of each component.
