    • This exhaust manifold comprises: an outer envelope comprising: at least one flange connected to the outer shell and having at least one gas circulation port, the outer envelope having at least one gas circulation port; at least one internal duct (31) arranged inside the outer envelope and opening via a gas circulation port, characterized in that: the or each internal duct (31) is formed, at least for the most part of its length, of a ceramic material and is engaged through the or each port; and it comprises an annular diaphragm (34) that is impermeable to the gases but radially and axially elastically deformable and positioned around the or each internal duct (31), between the or each internal duct (31) and the outer envelope (18), the diaphragm (34) being connected at its periphery to at least one out of the outer envelope (18) and the or each internal duct (20, 31).

    • The invention relates to an exhaust manifold (12) consisting of: an outer casing (18) comprising an outer shell (22) and a flange (24) which is welded to the outer shell (22) and which is equipped with a surface (24B) that is supported by an engine head and at least one hole (28) which opens onto said support surface (24A); and at least one internal conduit (20) which is disposed in the outer casing (18) and which terminates in a hole (28). The invention is characterised in that: each internal conduit (20) is formed from a ceramic material; and each internal conduit (20) extends through the flange (24) by means of each hole (28) and comprises an extension (32) that extends outside the outer casing (18) towards the exterior and beyond the support surface (24A).

    • A process for continuous dip coating of a steel strip by passing it through a zinc bath containing aluminum and silicon wherein the aluminum content is approximately 55% by weight, the silicon content is 1% to 2% by weight, and the bath further includes strontium in a quantity in the range of 0.0001% to 0.2% by weight and at least one other element selected from among vanadium in a quantity in the range of 0.02% to 0.2% by weight and chromium in the range of 0.005% to 0.2% by weight. The addition of strontium and chromium and/or vanadium stabilizes the structure of the coating and reduces the formation of acicular precipitates of silicon. The coating has an improved adherence and ductility which permits it to be formed without cracking, while retaining an excellent resistance to corrosion. The resulting crystallization pattern of the coating is also finer and more regular and is independent of the substrate.

    • A motor vehicle exhaust pipe includes: an outer metal tube; at least one inner tube made from an inorganic matrix composite material and disposed inside the outer metal tube, each inner tube being arranged longitudinally and having a pre-determined longitudinal length and a gap being provided between each inner tube and the outer tube; and elements for maintaining each inner tube in position in relation to the outer tube. The elements for maintaining each inner tube in position in relation to the outer tube include at least one retaining element disposed in the gap between the inner tube and the outer tube, each retaining element exerting a minimum pressure of between 10−4 MPa and 10−1 MPa on the inner tube. All of the elements used to maintain one inner tube in position have a cumulative longitudinal length equal to less than half of the longitudinal length of the inner tube.

    • An exhaust manifold for an engine has at least one collecting pipe for conveying exhaust gases. Several exhaust gas inlets are in fluid communication with the collecting pipe. Several flanges each define one of the exhaust gas inlets. Each flange has an external face adapted to be pressed against a receiving surface of the engine. Several back flanges are each associated to one of the flanges and are adapted to press the corresponding flange against the receiving surface. The flanges are areas of a single plate, which has a thickness between 0.2 and 2 mm. The areas are continuously connected to one another by other areas of the plate. The collecting pipe is not integral with the plate. The manifold has leak tight connections connecting the collecting pipe to each of the flanges.
