摘要： The present invention provides a variety of novel fibrous structures having a design element disposed on at least one surface. More particularly the present invention provides fibrous structures comprising a textured surface, and more preferably a textured background surface, and a design element wherein the design element is formed by removing a portion of the textured background. In this manner the fibrous structures of the present invention generally comprise a textured background surface having a top surface lying in a surface plane, a bottom surface lying in a bottom plane and a design element lying in a third plane between the surface and bottom planes. The textured surface provides the fibrous structures with an overall background pattern that is typically visually distinct from the design element imparted thereon.

摘要： The present invention relates to tissue webs and products having a topographical pattern comprising a plurality of substantially machine direction orientated line elements disposed on at least one surface of the tissue web. Preferably the line elements having an element angle (α), measured relative to the machine direction axis, from about 1 to about 20 degrees resulting in a tissue web having a Poisson's ratio from about 0 to about -0.60 and more preferably from about -0.10 to about -0.50 and still more preferably from about -0.20 to about -0.40. In addition to having a negative Poisson's ratio, the inventive tissue webs have desirable cross-machine direction properties, such as high CD Stretch and high CD TEA at relatively modest Tensile Ratios.

摘要： Embossing regularly textured sheets with an appropriate regular, discrete embossing pattern to improve softness can result in a combined texture that creates an interference pattern that camouflages the original texture pattern and the embossing pattern. The resulting pattern is more appealing to the eye and is more random in appearance than the initial textured sheet or the embossing pattern individually. This result is particularly advantageous for paper towels.

摘要： The present application provides chemically treated fibrous structures, tissue products and a method of manufacturing thereof, wherein the fibrous structure comprises a textured background surface, a design element formed by removing a portion of the textured background, the design element lying between the surface and bottom planes of the fibrous structure, and an additive composition selectively disposed on the design element. The method of manufacturing said patterned tissue product comprises the steps of (a) providing a tissue web having a textured top surface lying in a surface plane and a bottom surface lying in a bottom plane wherein there is a z-directional height difference between the surface plane and the bottom plane; (b) conveying the web through a first nip created by a first receiving roll and a pattern roll having a plurality of protuberances forming a design pattern; (c) conforming a portion of the web to the protuberances; and (d) applying a chemical papermaking additive to an applicator rol l; (e) conveying the web through a second nip created by the pattern roll and the applicator roll; (f) transferring the additive from the applicator roll to the conformed portion of the web; and (g) conveying the web into a second nip formed between the pattern roll and a second receiving roll.
