    • PURPOSE: To heat-treat uniformly the individual raw material particles, by heat- treating a particulate or granular material in a dispersed state under pressure while dropping the particulate and granular material in saturated steam and/or superheated steam, and releasing the heat-treated particulate and granular material to a zone under a low pressure.
      CONSTITUTION: Saturated steam or superheated steam or mixed steam thereof is circulated from a pipe 5 through a blower 2 and the interior of a circulation pipe 1 and then made to flow further into a heating vessel 6. A raw material is passed through a charging valve 3, fed into the circulation pipe 1, carried by a steam current and introduced into the heating vessel 6 to separate the raw material from the steam by the action of centrifugal force. The raw material is heat-treated while swirled and dropped in the heating vessel 6, and the steam is discharged from an outlet 8.

    • PURPOSE: To provide an effective heating process with a small amount of power and a simple construction by a method wherein grain raw material etc. are agitated in a cylindrical horizontal pressure container having an agitator machine so as to form an annular layer along an inner wall of the container and to heat the grain etc. with a heating medium.
      CONSTITUTION: Raw material 12 is fed into a pressure container 1 and an agitating machine 8 is driven to cause the raw material 12 to be fed out to a product discharging port 3 while it forms an annular layer along an inner wall under a centrifugal force and reverses up side down. In turn, saturated water vapor in the boiler etc. is fed into the pressure container with a circulation blower 14 through a control valve 15 to be controlled by a pressure sensor 16, and a heating medium inlet 4. Thus, the raw material 12 made to be a form of layer and being transmitted is heated by a heating medium vapor and then discharged. Vapor of which temperature is decreased is heated again by a super heater 13 and circulated by a circulation blower 14. With this arrangement, it is possible to provided an effective heating process with a small amount of power and a simple construction.

    • PURPOSE:To improve heating and cooling effects by a method wherein in case the powdered material is indirectly heated, dried and cooled from outside of a transfer pipe for transferring the powdered material by means of a swirling stream of air, the powdered material is fluidized by the swirling stream of air. CONSTITUTION:An upstream side inlet port 1a is formed at one end of the transfer pipe 1 in such a manner that the inlet port 1a is displaced from the center axis of the pipe 1 and in the tangential direction with respect to the sectional surface of the pipe 1. Further, a heat medium passage 3 is formed about the outer periphery of the pipe 1 in coaxial relationship with the pipe 1 and a transferring gas and the powdered material entering the pipe 1 flow toward an outlet port 1b along the inner wall surface of the pipe as shown by the arrow A since the inlet port 1a is displaced from the center axis of the pipe 1. Accordingly, the powdered material is thrusted against the inner wall of the pipe 1 due to a centrifugal force so that it exchanges heat effectively with the heating fluid 3 and breaks and reduces a gas film formed on the inner wall surface of the pipe 1.
