    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a holder used for moving an article to be plated in a hung state from a rail in a continuous electroplating line, has less versatility with regard to a size (especially, sheet thickness) of the article to be plated.
      SOLUTION: This holder has a structure of holding the right and left vertical sides of the article W so as to be caught between a vertical-piece 16 and a pressing member 18, pressing the article W to the vertical-piece 16 with a spring 19 arranged in the pressing member 18, and pinching them, while keeping them in this state, with a clip tool 20 having a U-shape cross section from both outer sides in the direction of the sheet thickness. Then, the holder secures the versatility even to the articles W having the different sheet thicknesses, as a result of allowing the spring 19 to necessarily compress the article W according to the sheet thickness, through setting in of the clip tool 20.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a conventional continuous electroplating system has needed a long space for the line when including the whole steps, because it has arranged with the whole tanks, so as to direct the longitudinal direction of all the tanks toward a moving direction of an article to be plated, which include not only a plating tank but also a pretreatment tank arranged in a pretreatment step and a post-treatment tank arranged in a post-treatment step.
      SOLUTION: This continuous electroplating system is provided by arranging the pretreatment tank 4 on an upstream side and the post-treatment tank 8 on a downstream side of the plating tank 6, so as to hold the article to be plated W while directing both the surfaces to the front and back in the moving direction, though arranging the plating tank 6 so as to hold the article W while directing both the surfaces in the right and left directions. Thereby, the system can shorten the length of the line and save and occupied area, because it has the pretreatment tank 4 and the post-treatment tank 8 so as to direct the longitudinal direction of the tanks toward a transverse direction to the moving direction of the article W.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a conventional barrel plating method needs a long plating time of 40-50 minutes, because it cannot have increased current density for a product to be plated, or has imposed strict limits on the density.
      SOLUTION: This method for barrel plating comprises directly discharging a plating liquid which has entered the barrel 3, to outside the plating tank 2 through a discharge path 23, instead of discharging it through the plating tank 2, consequently making an article W to be plated in the barrel 3 rigorously contact with a plating liquid L, and thereby increasing the current density for the article W. As a result, the plating time can be dramatically shortened.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that an operation for sorting out dummies from plated products has been drudgery and consumed much time, because a conventional barrel used for barrel plating has been made of resin.
      SOLUTION: The barrel 3 is characterized by being made from an electroconductive material. Then, the barrel 3 itself can be used as a negative electrode for applying negative current to articles W charged in the barrel to be plated.
