摘要： A quick disconnect for use in a plasma arc torch is provided that comprises a plug housing and a mating socket housing, a locking ring disposed around the plug housing secures the plug housing to the socket housing. A negative lead gas carrying pin is disposed within the plug housing, and a mating main power socket is disposed within the socket housing for the purpose of conducting both gas and electricity from a power supply to a plasma arc torch. Further, the negative lead gas carrying pin and mating main power socket are positioned off-center in order to provide additional volume for a plurality of signal conductors disposed within each housing, along with a pilot return conductor. Additionally, both the plug housing and the socket housing define a D-configuration in order to properly align the housings and conductors disposed therein, among other novel features of the present invention.

In one form, the electrode includes a conductive body, a plurality of deformed emissive inserts, and a dimple. In one form, the plurality of emissive inserts are concentrically nested about the centerline of the conductive body, and the dimple is positioned concentrically about a centerline of the conductive body. The plurality of emissive inserts and the dimple increase the life of the electrode.

摘要： Methods and devices for controlling the flow of gases through a plasma arc torch are provided. A flow of plasma gas is directed to a plasma chamber, a first flow of auxiliary gas is directed around a plasma stream that exits a tip in one of a swirling manner and a radial manner, and a second flow of auxiliary gas is directed around the first flow of auxiliary gas and the plasma stream in one of a coaxial manner, an angled manner, and a radial manner. The first flow of auxiliary gas functions to constrict and shape the plasma stream to improve cut quality and cut speed, and the second flow of auxiliary gas functions to protect the plasma arc torch during piercing and cutting and to cool components of the plasma arc torch such that thicker workpieces may be processed with a highly shaped plasma stream.

The telescopingly mounted coolant tube may further be used to electrically connect a cathodic member with the electrode mounted in the mounting.

A two-piece lever arrangement is provided in the bell alarm accessory case between the micro-switch button thereof and the operating mechanism of the circuit breaker. In the first stage of operation the operating mechanism rotates the entire two-piece member as a unit until the bell alarm button has been completely depressed, after which overtravel of the operating mechanism is accommodated by rotational movement of only one of the members on a common axis against the force of a hub located torsion spring.

摘要： This concerns a molded case circuit breaker having separable main contacts and an operating mechanism utilized to cause the separable main contacts to open and close. A trip unit is provided to actuate the operating mechanism in desirable circumstances. Disposed within the circuit breaker casing is a region for the installation of an auxiliary device, such as a bell alarm device, shunt trip device etc. The case of the auxiliary device has an opening disposed therein through which a movable auxiliary device lever protrude. The opening of the circuit breaker case has a region for interfacing with the operating mechanism of the circuit breaker. A separate lever is disposed between the operating mechanism and the auxiliary device lever member. This separate lever member is driven by the operating mechanism of the circuit breaker and actuates the lever of the auxiliary device. It is pivoted about a protrusion on the auxiliary device.
