    • An example method includes receiving a packet for a flow associated with a subscriber; determining if a home agent element has a context for the flow by communicating a handover query to a network element; assigning an Internet protocol (IP) address for the subscriber in response to the home agent element not having the context for the flow; and creating a session for the subscriber, where the session is created using inter-process communication between the home agent element and the network element. The method can further include maintaining communications with a packet data serving node (PDSN) and an Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) element in order to assist in roaming between a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network and a code division multiple access (CDMA) network. The inter-process communication is used to maintain the session for the subscriber when the subscriber is attached to different networks.

    • The functions performed by a mobile switching center (MSC) may be divided between two entities. A mobile control function performs mobility management functions such as roaming control, implementing hand-off, and coordinating bearer traffic flow. A call agent performs call control functions such as call setup, call tear down, and advanced call features such as call hold, call waiting, etc. The call agent is preferably unaware of mobile specific interfaces and can support multiple access network types including cable, DSL, PSTN, etc. This provides feature transparency for users as they use devices in each of the access domains.

    • The pharmaceutical formulations of the invention for masking the odor from the sulfur-containing active agent comprise at least one sulfur-containing active agent, an effective amount of at least one flavoring agent. Any flavoring agent or combinations of flavoring agents may be used in the pharmaceutical formulation of the invention. The flavoring agent may be natural flavors, natural fruit flavors, artificial flavors, and mixtures thereof. The pharmaceutical formulation may contain an artificial sweetener, a natural sweetener or mixtures thereof. The pharmaceutical formulations are provided in liquid dosage form or a dry powder dosage form for reconstitution in water. Stabilizer added as one of expicients can extend the stability of the pharmaceutical formulation liquid dosage form for a period of at least 30 days when the formulation is stored below room temperature. The pharmaceutical formulations of the invention are palatable and particularly useful for the administration of sulfur-containing drugs to very small children that are in need of such medications. Methods of forming a liquid dosage form of pharmaceutical formulation by adding water to the dry powder form, methods to prepare an odor-masking pharmaceutical formulation and methods for treating lead poisoning or Wilson's disease using the odor-masking pharmaceutical formulation are also provided.

    • In one embodiment, techniques provide quality of service (QoS) for services using a gateway. The techniques include receiving one or more control signaling messages from a subscriber station at the gateway. The gateway is in a signaling path for the subscriber station where the subscriber station communicates through a wireless network. The gateway determines a policy to apply for the service based on the one or more control signaling messages. QoS parameters may be determined for the service based on the policy. For example, QoS parameters are determined for a session that is created for a media stream. The media stream may flow from the subscriber station to a base station to the gateway, and vice versa. The gateway may communicate the QoS parameters to the base station to cause the base station to reserve resources in the wireless network. Accordingly, a session for the subscriber station is created and resources are reserved to provide a QoS for a media stream.

The adjustment unit is for providing an adjusted output signal responsive to the control parameters and responsive to the boost signal to control the motion of the limited rotation motor scanner element while compensating for torque constant variation with the rotational position of the limited rotation motor scanner element during the command waveform.
