    • There is provided a mobile wireless device capable of preventing antenna characteristics from degrading by feeding electric power at a position hardly affected by a human body such as a hand or other body part. In the mobile wireless device, a first circuit board (101) is provided on a first chassis (110) and has a ground layer; a second circuit board (105) is provided on a second chassis (120) and has a ground layer. A ground terminal of a wireless portion (104) is connected to the ground layer of the first circuit board (101) at the same voltage level and is also electrically connected through the wireless portion (104) to a matching circuit (103). The ground layer of the second circuit board (105) is electrically connected to a hinge conducting portion (106) by electrostatic capacitance coupling. The hinge conducting portion (106) is connected through a third conduction portion (107) to a board connection portion (102) and feeds power to the wireless portion through the matching circuit (103). This enables the ground layer of the first circuit board (101), the third conduction portion (107), the hinge conducting portion (106), and the ground layer of the second circuit board (105) to function as an antenna resonating at a predetermined resonant frequency.

The battery cover section (140) is formed of a member having conductivity, and attached to the lower case (114) by having contact point members (151, 152) in between for carrying a current to a reinforcing conductive plate (125) which is to be a GND layer of the circuit board (121). The battery cover section (140) attached to the lower case (114) is electrically connected to the reinforcing conductive plate (125) by making the battery cover section abut to contact point members (151, 152).

    • A structure for introducing an optical cable into a communication apparatus includes an adapter (3) to be affixed to a side wall (21) forming a part of the casing (2) of the apparatus. A case (4) is fitted in a bore axially extending throughout the center of the adapter (3). A ring nut assembly (5) holds an optical cable (6) at its center and is connected to the adapter (3) in such a manner as to cover the case (4). The cable (6) includes a tension merber (61) introduced into the casing (2) via the case (4) and adapter (3) and affixed by a tension member affixing portion (46) disposed in the casing (2). In this condition, the cable (6) is firmly affixed by the ring nut assembly (5) and tension member affixing portion (46), i.e., at two points. The fibers of the cable (6) are therefore free from breakage ascribable to a twisting force or a pulling force.
