    • A portable, solar assisted, temperature controlled container comprises: a body with a cavity; a lid sealable thereon; a detachable solar panel producing electric power; a thermoelectric cooling unit; an interior heat sink secured in the cavity proximate to an interior side of the thermoelectric cooling unit with an interior fan to direct cavity air thereon; an exterior heat sink secured proximate to an exterior-facing side of the thermoelectric cooling unit with an exterior fan to direct exterior air thereon. The thermoelectric cooling unit transports heat to maintain a thermostat-controlled temperature in the cavity. The interior and exterior fans and the interior and exterior heat sinks increase efficiency of the heat transport. One or more wheels rotatably attached to the body are coupled to a faraday generator to generate electrical power to replace/supplement the solar power. A rechargeable battery may also replace/supplement solar power during periods of inadequate solar power generation.

    • A computer-implemented method for securing Internet access on restricted mobile platforms may include identifying an attempt by a mobile computing system to establish a virtual private network connection with a security server and, in response to identifying the attempt, (1) assigning an Internet Protocol address to the mobile computing system and (2) identifying a security filter customized to filter communications for an account associated with the mobile computing system. The method may also include (1) receiving, via the virtual private network connection, a request for an Internet resource and (2) providing, via the virtual private network connection, a response to the request to the mobile computing system based at least in part on the security filter. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

    • A collapsible paint roller frame includes: an axle and means configured to receive a roller cover; a first link; a second link; a coupler configured to fixedly receive the axle and to receive a first end of the first and second links in a pivotal relation; and a handle configured to receive a second end of the first and second links in a pivotal relation. The handle is movable with respect to the axle, using the first and second links, between collapsed and extended positions. The collapsed position permits easy storage of the roller frame in small spaces, and also an efficient arrangement of multiple roller frames in a shipping carton, reducing packaging/shipping costs. A torsion spring engages one link to bias the handle relative to the axle into the collapsed position. A trigger movable between first and second positions releasably secures the handle in the collapsed and/or extended positions.
