    • A small-sized and thin flexible recording system including a flexible disk drive and a recording disk is provided. The recording disk has a disk-shaped recording medium and a recording medium cartridge rotatably receiving therein the recording medium. The flexible disk drive includes a magnetic head for recording information into the recording medium or reproducing information recorded in the recording medium, a carriage mechanism for moving the magnetic head, a recording medium drive motor for rotating the recording medium, a frame having an insertion opening through which the recording disk is inserted, a recording medium mounting portion formed adjacent the insertion opening in a direction in which the recording disk is inserted for mounting thereon the recording disk, and a recording-disk ejection mechanism for ejecting the recording disk from the frame. The recording disk has a write-protect instructing member which comprises a hole formed in an end face of the recording medium cartridge disposed at one side thereof from which the recording disk is inserted into the frame, and an element for opening and closing the hole. The flexible disk drive has a write-protect detector provided on the disk mounting portion at its one end from which the recording disk is inserted into the flexible disk drive for detecting permission or inhibition of writing into the recording medium based on the open or closed state of the hole.

    • A flexible magnetic disc apparatus comprising a magnetic head portion for recording and reproducing a disc-shaped recording medium and a loading mechanism portion for loading and unloading the recording medium and having a button portion. When the recording medium is loaded, the button portion projects from a panel surface of the flexible magnetic disc apparatus in a first direction. When the button portion is depressed in a second direction opposite to the first direction, the button portion causes the loading mechanism portion to unload the recording medium. The button portion is capable of being elastically deformed in a direction other than the first direction and may be rubber which has a rubber hardness of a range of from 80 to 100. The button portion may be a cylindrical member having a diameter of from 1.0 mm to 3.0 mm and a distance of projection of the button portion being from 3.0 mm to 5.0 mm.

    • A CCD image sensor has an imaging surface composed of an effective pixel area and OB areas, and first and second light receiving element groups on even-numbered and odd-numbered columns respectively in the imaging surface. These light receiving element groups have separately-controllable exposure times, and they are set to low and high sensitivities. An imaging device includes this CCD, a memory storing defective pixel information of the OB areas, an OB clamping circuit for applying an OB clamp processing to the light receiving element groups, and an image processing circuit for generating image data from the output signals of the light receiving element groups after the OB clamp processing. Referring the defective pixel information, a CPU sets one of the light receiving element groups having more OB defective pixels to low sensitivity, and the other having less OB defective pixels to high sensitivity.

It can be constituted so that one of the right and left vertical transfer routes transfers the charges to the first horizontal transfer route and the other transfers them to the second horizontal transfer route.
