摘要： An integral document processing apparatus comprising an electrophotographic copying system and a facsimile transmission system. A document fed from a common document storing unit is guided selectively to a first document read unit included in the electrophotographic copying system or to a second document read unit included in the facsimile transmission system by a document feed passage changeover mechanism which is operated selectively by an operator. A document delivered to the first document read unit is copied by the electrophotographic copying system. A document delivered to the second document read unit is converted into a corresponding electric image signal, and then the electric image signal is applied to a communications line.

摘要： A data transmission system includes a host CPU having an output terminal for repeatedly producing a predetermined number of data blocks in a predetermined sequence in a repeated manner. Each data block is defined by a sequence code for identifying each data block and specific data followed by the sequence code. A plurality of slave CPUs are provided. The host CPU is connected to each slave CPU through a bus structure for the mutual data transmission. Each slave CPU receives all the data blocks and selectively extracts only the necessary data for use in each slave CPU and produces data from its output terminal at a given period within one cycle of the predetermined sequence. The given period for one slave CPU differs from that of another slave CPU, thereby transmitting data to the host CPU without any interferences.

摘要： A computer-controlled paper feeder comprises at least first and second supply units from which respective recording materials are supplied one at a time towards a processing station. There is provided a size detector for detecting the size of the recording material contained in respective cassettes inserted in the associated first and second supply units and an emptiness detector for detecting the presence and absence of the recording material in any one of the cassettes in the first and second supply units. These detectors are so correlated with micro-computer that, when the recording material in one of the cassettes has been consumed and the size of the recording material in the other of the cassettes has been found equal to that in the one of the cassettes, the corresponding supply unit is brought into operation to feed the recording material out of the other of the cassettes towards the processing station until the recording material in the other of the cassettes is completely consumed.
