    • A stator includes: a stator core having a plurality of slots in a direction parallel to a rotating shaft of a rotating electric machine; a plurality of coil plate laminated bodies formed in such a manner that a plurality of coil plates each having an insulating film attached to at least one side are laminated in a radial direction; and transition members connecting the coil plate laminated bodies inserted into different ones of the slots. The stator has at least one of a first shape in which at least two transition members are provided so as to cross each other as seen from the direction parallel to the rotating shaft and a second shape in which one coil plate (128) is formed by integrally combined coil plate constituting members (200, 202) each having a substantially flat shape and being bent in a front-back direction as seen from the radial direction.

    • A method is disclosed for manufacturing a motor stator including: a stator core 30 provided, in an inner surface thereof, with a plurality of slots 32 and a plurality of teeth 31 each radially inwardly extending and tapering toward the center of the stator core, the teeth including at least a first tooth 31A, a second tooth 31B, and a third tooth 31C, and the slots and the teeth being arranged alternately; and a plurality of trapezoidal coils 10 each of which is inserted in each slot, each coil being formed of a rectangular conductor 15 that has a square section and is concentrated-wound into a trapezoidal shape. The method comprises the steps of: individually mounting second and third coils 10B and 10C on the second and third teeth 31B and 31C located on both sides of the first tooth 31A; deforming a first coil 10A with air core before it is mounted on the first tooth 31A, and inserting a first part of the deformed coil 10A into the slot 32A on one side of the first tooth; and inserting a second part of the deformed coil 10A into the slot 32A on the other side of the first tooth 31A.
