    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas pressure monitoring device enabling to relax traffic control and reduce construction cost by reducing a gas pipe construction region on a road, and to provide a gas grid constructing method. SOLUTION: The gas pressure monitoring device 10 includes a bypass pipe 21 connected at both ends to a pair of gas pipe terminal portions 47, 47 on both sides of a shut-off part 46 of a gas grid 50. A normally-closed manual valve 24 and a motor driven valve 25 are arranged in parallel to each other on the midway of the bypass pipe 21. A pair of pressure sensors 27, 27 detect gas pressure in the pair of gas pipe terminal portions 47, 47.
