摘要： The thin film transistor comprises source and drain regions, a channel forming region formed between the source and drain regions, a first (main) gate for turning on or off the transistor, and in particular at least one second (sub-) gate for reducing turn-off leakage current. When the n-channel transistor is turned off, for example, a negative voltage is applied to the main gate to form a p-channel layer in the channel forming region under the main gate and a positive voltage is applied to the subgate to form an n-channel layer in the channel forming region under the subgate, for instance, so that a pn junction can be formed between under the main gate and the subgate to reduce the turn-off leakage current. The above-mentioned disclosure can be clearly applied to p-channel transistors. Further, the above four-terminal transistor can be simply modified to a three-terminal transistor by connecting the main gate to the subgate via a diode or a capacitor or by directly connecting the drain region to the subgate. Further, the above three-terminal transistor can be manufactured in accordance with only the ordinary device manufacturing process.

摘要： A scroll-type compressor includes a front housing, a rear housing, and stationary and movable scrolls engaging with each other to define a plurality of compression chambers therebetween. The stationary scroll is connected to the rear housing to define a discharge chamber therebetween. The stationary and movable scrolls are provided between the front and rear housings so that the movable scroll moves along an orbiting path. A drive shaft extends through the front housing and is drivingly connected to the movable scroll. The rotation of the drive shaft moves the movable scroll along the orbiting path to shift the compression chambers from the periphery to the center of the scrolls with the volume of the chambers reducing. A slider plate, substantially in the form of a ring, for providing a sliding surface for the movable scroll, relative to the front housing, is disposed between the front housing and the movable scroll. The slider plate includes first and second slots which are disposed diametrically opposite to each other and extend radially and circumferentially, respectively. A pair of pins are provided for engagement with the first and second slots of the slider plate to lock and secure the slider plate to the front housing or to the movable scroll.

摘要： A polylactic acid-based resin composition is provided from which molded articles with a high heat resistance and high impact strength can be molded with improved moldability. Also provided is a heat-resistant polylactic acid-based resin molded article manufactured from the polylactic acid-based resin composition, as well as a process for manufacturing such a heat-resistant molded article. A polylactic acid-based resin composition comprising 0.01 to 5.0 parts by weight of a metal phosphate and 0.01 to 5.0 parts by weight of a basic inorganic aluminum compound, each serving as a nucleating agent, with respect to 100 parts by weight of a polylactic acid-based polymer. The polylactic acid-based resin composition is melted and filled a mold of a molding machine set in a temperature range of not more than the crystallization-initiating point nor less than the glass transition point, as measured by a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), to be molded the composition under crystallizing.

摘要： An environmentally acceptable stabilizer composition is provided for enhancing the resistance to deterioration upon heating at 175.degree. C. of a vinyl chloride polymer from which lead, cadmium, mercury, thallium, and arsenic are substantially excluded, comprising (A) at least one zinc, alkali metal, or alkaline earth metal organic phosphate ester salt having per metal atom from one to a number equal to the valence of the metal of phosphate ester groups and from one to two organic groups per phosphate groups, the organic groups being alkyl, aryl, alkaryl, aralkyl, ether-interrupted allyl, or ether-interrupted aralkyl groups having from 1 to about 80 carbon atoms; and (B) at least one betadiketone compound having 5 to about 30 carbon atoms which is a cyclic or open-chain betadiketone or a zinc, alkali metal or alkaline earth metal salt thereof.A stabilized vinyl chloride polymer composition in which the environmentally acceptable composition is used as stabilizer is also provided.
