    • Disclosed herein is a method for producing a multilayer information recording medium having at least two information recording layers, in which a resin layer is formed between each pair of the information recording layers, the method including: holding a substrate; feeding a resin onto the substrate; and removing the excess resin by moving a squeegee throughout the entire surface of the substrate so that the interval between the bottom surface of the squeegee and the surface of the substrate is kept constant. The substrate may have a resin-coated region, onto which the resin is to be applied, and a non-resin-coated region, onto which the resin is not to be applied. In this case, the resin-coated region has a smaller contact angle with the resin than the non-resin-coated region. The method for producing a multilayer information recording medium may further include, prior to feeding a resin onto the substrate, subjecting a specified area of the substrate to an oil repellent treatment to increase the contact angle of the specified area with the resin.

    • The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a multilayer information recording medium including at least two information recording portions and a resin layer interposed between the information recording portions, both of which are disposed on a signal substrate. The method includes a first process of forming a predetermined information recording portion on one principal surface of the signal substrate and a second process of passing a part of a resin-containing coating, which is supplied on a screen having an application region with a plurality of first pores and a removal region with a plurality of second pores, through the first pores by sliding a squeegee on the screen so as to form a coating layer on the predetermined information recording portion, and curing the resin contained in the coating layer so as to form the resin layer. The first process and the second process are carried out respectively a predetermined number of times. In each second process, at least a part of the resin-containing coating that has not been applied on the predetermined information recording portion and that remains on the screen is allowed to pass through the second pores so as to be removed from the screen surface.

    • A method is provided for producing a multilayer information recording medium including two or more information recording layers and a space layer provided between adjacent information recording layers. The method includes the steps of: providing a photosensitive adhesive sheet (300) containing an ultraviolet curable oligomer and an adhesive polymer on a predetermined information recording layer (102), attaching a stamper substrate (111) having an uneven surface as an information surface to the photosensitive adhesive sheet so as to transfer information of the stamper substrate to the photosensitive adhesive sheet, curing the photosensitive adhesive sheet after the transfer of the information so as to cause the photosensitive adhesive sheet to be the space layer (103), and peeling off the stamper substrate from the space layer and subsequently forming another information recording layer (104) on the space layer. The photosensitive adhesive sheet has a layered structure including a first resin film (301) and a second resin film (302) as outermost films, and the second resin film contacting the stamper substrate has an ultraviolet curable oligomer content (% by weight) higher than that of the first resin film contacting the predetermined information recording layer.

    • The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a multi-layer information recording medium, including the steps of: forming a thin-film layer on an information surface of a substrate having the information surface; placing a photo-curing resin film and a light transmissive resin stamper on the first thin-film layer followed by pressing; curing the photo-curing resin film by allowing light to pass through the light transmissive resin stamper; forming an information surface by stripping the light transmissive resin stamper from the cured photo-curing resin film; and forming an information layer by covering the information surface with a thin-film layer, wherein the light transmissive resin stamper has a transfer surface used to form the information surface, and a metal thin film is formed on the transfer surface. When a multi-layer information recording medium is manufactured by this manufacturing method, because new information layers can be successively layered from the same surface side, the fabrication sequence can be simplified, which enables in turn to save the manufacturing costs. Also, because the thin-film layer is formed on the surface of the stamper, the stamper alone can be readily stripped from the cured photo-curing resin film with a relative small force. It is thus possible to obtain a multi-layer information recording medium having so high dimensional accuracy without causing stripping in any other layer.
