摘要： In a silver halide color photographic material is disclosed. The material is comprised of a blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, a green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, and a red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer. The granularity of the material is improved by incorporating a non-diffusible coupler capable of forming a properly smearing diffusible dye by causing a reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent and a colorless competing compound capable of capturing the oxidation product of a color developing agent in at least one of the foregoing silver halide emulsion layers.

The compound is very active and rapidly releases a development inhibiting agent upon oxidation. However, it is stable when it is incorporated into a silver halide emulsion layer and can be advantageously used in a photographic light-sensitive material.
