A balloon connected with the insert tube 821 is located in the vicinity of the tissue site, and a void is cut out and formed in the vicinity of tissue site by inflating the balloon. A manifold having a plurality of flow paths is delivered to the tissue site through the passageway. This manifold is arranged to make at least one of the flow paths contact the tissue site. Reduced pressure is applied to the tissue site through this flow path of the manifold.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus, a system, and a method for treating tissue at a tissue site in a mammal.SOLUTION: A reduced pressure therapy system 100 for applying reduced pressure and facilitating the growth of tissue at a tissue site 102 in a limb 103 of a patient, is shown. The reduced pressure therapy system comprises a scaffold 104 that is implanted in the tissue site to facilitate growth of the tissue at the tissue site. The tissue site has resulted from a defect or wound 106 in a bone 107 of the patient's limb which contains blood vessels. A blood vessel 108 is fluid-coupled to the scaffold via a vessel-scaffold interface 110 to provide a supply of blood to the scaffold. The reduced pressure therapy system further comprises a valve 112 to control the supply of blood from the blood vessel to the scaffold and a controller 114 electrically coupled to the valve, the valve being varied between an open position and a closed position by the controller. The blood pressure within the blood vessel forces the blood into the scaffold and the tissue site.

摘要： A reduced pressure delivery system for applying a reduced pressure to a tissue site is provided. The system includes a manifold having a plurality of flow channels. The manifold is configured to be placed adjacent the tissue site. A first conduit is in fluid communication with the flow channels of the manifold to deliver a reduced pressure to the flow channels. A second conduit is in fluid communication with the flow channels of the manifold and is operably connected to a valve. The valve selectively purges the second conduit with ambient air when the valve is positioned in an open position, and a controller is operably connected to the valve to place the valve in the open position for a selected amount of time at a selected interval during delivery of reduced pressure through the first conduit.

The plurality of apertures fluidly couple the reduced- pressure lumen and the manifolding surface features or slits. 摘要： An apparatus and system for treating a wound having a cavity is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a scaffold including a scaffold lamina and a tissue lamina wherein the scaffold lamina forms a laminate in fluid communication with the tissue lamina. The laminate is rolled into a generally cylindrical shape having two end surfaces. The apparatus further comprises a manifold having a port for coupling to a source of reduced pressure and that is positioned in fluid communication with the scaffold to provide reduced pressure to the scaffold lamina and the wound. The apparatus also comprises a drape formed of substantially impermeable material to cover the scaffold and the manifold within the wound.; A method for treating a wound having a cavity is also disclosed and comprises positioning a scaffold lamina adjacent a tissue lamina to form a laminate in fluid communication with the tissue lamina, rolling the laminate into a generally cylindrical shape having two end surface, and positioning the scaffold within the cavity of the wound to provide reduced pressure to the wound. The method further comprises positioning a manifold in fluid communication with the scaffold to provide reduced pressure to the scaffold lamina and the wound.
