摘要： Imaging-system bookbinding apparatus avoids cutting any folded sheets mixed into booklets it trims. Furnished with: an imaging unit; a sheet-folding unit that folds imaging-unit sheets; a stacking unit that stacks sheets from the sheet-folding or image-forming units; a cover-sheet binding unit that encases stacking-unit sheet bundles with, and binds them into, cover sheets; a trimming unit that trims true the bundle fore-edge; and a fold-position computing unit that determines where a sheet is pleated by the sheet-folding unit. The sheet-folding unit has a sheet conveyance path along which folded sheets are transported elsewhere than the stacking unit, while the fold-position computing unit in a first control mode transports to the stacking unit sheets folded over by the sheet-folding unit, and in a second control mode transports them from the sheet conveyance path elsewhere than the stacking unit.

摘要： Bookbinding unit to avert sheets coming loose and other problems that, due to adhesive leakage in coating an adhesive onto a sheaf and pasting on a cover sheet, lead to poor binding. Provided with unit housing, sheaf retainer for retaining in an adhesive-application position sheets collated into book blocks, adhesive container for storing hot-melt adhesive, heater built-in to the adhesive container for melting the adhesive at a predetermined temperature, temperature controller for controlling the heater, applicator for applying adhesive to sheaves, and cover binder disposed downstream of the adhesive-application location for binding sheaves coated with adhesive together with cover sheets. The controller has a first sensor for detecting the adhesive temperature the adhesive container, and a second sensor for detecting ambient temperature inside the unit housing, and controls the heating temperature of the heater according to the temperatures detected by the first and second sensors.

摘要： A sheet post-processing device includes a conveying section that conveys a paper sheet; a punch section that punches punch holes in the paper sheet conveyed by the conveying section; a stacker section that stores the paper sheet in which the punch holes are punched by the punch section; a binding section that binds a paper sheet bundle stored in the stacker section with a binding member; and a controller that controls the above sections. The controller selectively performs a ring binding mode and a direct binding mode. The ring binding mode is a mode in which punch holes are punched in the paper sheet by the punch section and then the binding member is made to penetrate the punch holes for binding. The direct binding mode is a mode in which the binding member is directly driven into the paper sheet bundle without punching the punch holes in the sheet.

With this configuration, there can be provided a sheet-post processing device capable of easily generating a booklet for simple ring binding.

An interval between the second binding section and folding section is set smaller than an interval between the first binding section and folding section.

摘要： A sheet processing device can prevent a folded sheet bundle from being opened upon accumulation to prevent a reduction in accumulation amount thereof. The sheet processing device includes a pair of pressing rollers pressing a folding loop of a folded sheet bundle in a thickness direction, a support unit mounted to a device frame and supporting a plurality of rows of the pressing roller pairs such that intervals therebetween in the row direction are reduced stepwise, and a gripper member that makes the folding loop of the folded sheet bundle pass through the support unit in a direction that the intervals of the plurality of rows of pressing roller pairs in the row direction are reduced stepwise. The folded sheet bundle passes through the support unit by the gripper member to cause the folding loop to be sequentially pressed by the plurality of rows of pressing roller pairs.
