摘要： It is an object to provide a driving method of a plasma display panel, whereby a dark contrast can be improved while suppressing an erroneous discharge. In a resetting step in a first unit display period, while a first reset pulse having a predetermined peak electric potential is applied to one of first row electrodes of row electrode pairs formed in the PDP, a second reset pulse having a peak electric potential smaller than that of the first reset pulse is applied to the other of the first row electrodes. In the resetting step in a second unit display period subsequent to the first unit display period, a second reset pulse is applied to each of the one and the other of the first row electrodes.

摘要： A method for driving a plasma display panel which is capable of improving contrast is provided. A plasma display apparatus which is capable of improving dark contrast and suppressing a degradation in image quality immediately after power-on is also provided. In the PDP, the peak potentials of drive pulses to be applied in order to drive display cells which have a phosphor layer containing a phosphor material and a secondary electron emitting material, are set as follows. The peak potential of a reset pulse, to be applied to each of the row electrodes in the first subfield within each unit display period, is set to be lower than the peak potential of a sustain pulse, to be applied to each of the row electrodes in every subfield to produce sustain discharge only in display cells that are in the lighting mode.

摘要： In a central portion of inner tube 28 of combustor 20, pilot fuel nozzle 22 and pilot cone 33 are arranged and main fuel nozzles 21 and main swirlers 32 therearound. Air intake portion (X-1) is provided with rectifier tube 11 for making air intake uniform. In air intake portion (X-2), air holes of appropriate number of pieces are provided in circumferential wall of the inner tube 28. In main swirler portion (X-3) and pilot cone portion (X-4), bolt joint of the main swirlers 32 is employed and optimized welded structure having less influence of thermal stress of the pilot swirler 33 is employed, respectively. Tail tube cooling portion (X-5) is provided with cooling structure having less influence of thermal stress to cool flange 71 portion of tail tube 24 uniformly. By the improvements in the portions (X-1) to (X-5), obstacles in attaining higher temperature in the combustor 20 is dissolved and combustor performance is enhanced.

摘要： In a tail pipe of gas turbine combustor, the portion just in front of the outlet 104 of tail pipe of gas turbine combustor has a shape such as to be inclined with respect to the axial direction so that the direction changes from the rearward direction to the direction toward the rear in the substantially axial direction, and at this portion, the position of center of curvature 103 in the axial direction on the rotor side lies on the upstream side from the position of center of curvature 102 on the casing side, a bent portion of tail pipe serves as a suction duct, and the occurrence of a negative pressure zone is prevented. Also, by using the tail pipe, a combustor inner tube or a burner provided on the upstream side of the tail pipe having a straight or substantially straight axis is disposed so that the axis of the combustion inner tube or the burner makes an angle with respect to the axis of the tail pipe in such a manner that combustion gas collides with the back side of the tail pipe.
