    • The present invention provides a content data retrieval apparatus capable of appropriately narrowing down the range of search targets even in the case where a distribution of attribute values of a group of contents regarded as search targets is uneven.The content data retrieval apparatus of the present invention includes: an impression value database which stores attribute values; a conversion table in which an impression value is associated with a search word range that is a range of the attribute values associated with a search word; a range modification unit which modifies a relative relationship between a distribution range of attribute values and a search word range by modifying the search word range read out from the conversion table; a receiving unit which receives an input of a search word; and a retrieval unit which retrieves content data corresponding to the search word received by the receiving unit, by searching the attribute values included in the search word range associated with the search word.

    • Herein disclosed is a sound signal processing apparatus (10), comprising: a speaker unit (12) for converting a first sound signal to a first sound; sound signal producing means (13) for producing a second sound signal constituted by at least two different components including an echo component indicative of the sound outputted by the speaker unit (12), and a voice component indicative of one's voice having a least one leading end; echo component suppressing means (14) for suppressing the echo component of the second sound signal on the basis of the first and second sound signals to output, as a third sound signal, the suppressed second sound signal; sound signal storing means (15) for storing the third sound signal outputted by the echo component suppressing means (14); voice detecting means (16) for detecting the leading end of the speaker's voice on the basis of the third sound signal outputted by the echo component suppressing means (14); and controlling means (17) for controlling the sound signal storing means (15) to have the sound signal storing means (15) output, as a fourth sound signal, said third sound signal stored in the time period when said voice is detected on the basis of said third sound signal outputted by said echo component suppressing means, the controlling means (17) being operative to specify two different clock times on the basis of a predetermined time difference, the clock times including a first clock time at which the leading end of the voice is detected by the voice detecting means (16), and a second clock time prior to the first clock time, the controlling means (17) being operative to have the sound signal storing means (15) start to output the third sound signal stored after the second clock time.

    • A call other than a conversion partner call and various sounds are detected by input audio signals from plural microphones without deteriorating a voice recognition precision. A hearing aid apparatus according to the present invention corrects a frequency characteristic of the call voice other than the conversation partner voice based on an arrival direction of the call voice other than the conversation partner voice, which is estimated based on the audio signal converted by the plural microphones, checks a call word standard pattern representing features of a phoneme and a syllabic sound based on other voice data picked up by using the microphones having one characteristic against a call voice other than the conversation partner voice in which the frequency characteristic is corrected by the frequency characteristic correction processing unit to determine whether the call voice is a call word, and forms a directivity in the direction other than the arrival direction of the voice of the conversation partner. Then, the hearing aid apparatus according to the present invention corrects the frequency characteristic of the call voice other than the conversation partner voice so as to provide the same characteristic as that of the microphones at the time of creating the audio standard pattern.

    • A printing apparatus includes a printing medium support unit that supports and guides a printing medium supplied to a print execution area. The printing medium support unit includes a support portion supporting the printing medium defines a predetermined gap with a print head. A suction groove is formed concavely on a support surface of the support portion. A suction opening in the suction groove communicates with a suction source. A movable adsorption portion in the suction groove has a suction hole. Before the printing medium is supplied, the movable adsorption portion is located at an upper limit position higher than a support height of the support portion. When the printing medium is supplied, the suction hole is blocked by the printing medium, creating negative pressure, and thus the movable adsorption portion is moved to a lower limit position no higher than the support height of the support portion.
