    • To provide a first memory for storing an odd field data, a second memory for storing an even field data acquired in an NTSC system, a third memory for storing the same video data stored in the first and second memories, and a TV standard conversion circuit. For the data in a period for which a writing of a next data overtakes reading of the data from the first memory or the second memory, a writing into the third memory is inhibited, and the data is read from the third memory, whereby the signal of the NTSC system is converted into the signal of a PAL system. In this manner, an excellent video is displayed on a PAL monitor without any the bar noise.

    • A connector guide structure for electronic endoscope systems capable of efficiently eliminating high-frequency noises which are allowed by a connector guide functioning as an antenna to mix by way of sheath members and a console. The connector guide structure comprises a connector guide for connecting a connector disposed on an electronic endoscope to a main unit, and noise eliminating capacitors are connected between the connector guide and a console of the main unit. A capacitor for eliminating noises produced by a radio knife and a plurality of capacitors for eliminating noises produced by clock-frequency signals are used as the capacitors. Feet of the capacitors are directly connected within an interval of 4 mm to 20 mm which is reserved between the connector guide and the console. Accordingly, the connector guide structure is capable of favorably eliminating not only the noises produced by the radio knife but also the noises produced by providing clock-frequency signals.

    • A shielding structure of an electronic endoscope apparatus which can sufficiently remove noise even when an electric cautery is used. A signal transmission cable which connects a charge coupled device disposed at the end portion of an electronic endoscope to a processor unit is electrically shielded by a double shield composed by an inner shield and an outer shield. The inner shield is connected to the ground in a light source connector and the outer shield is connected to the frame ground of the processor unit through a capacitor. The outer shield is further connected to a shielding member provided around the charge coupled device and a patient ground to which an electrode piece of an electric cautery is connected. Noise is greatly removed, so that the picture quality is improved.

The control device has a mask circuit for forming masks having a predetermined width in upper and lower portions of a monitor screen in a vertical scanning direction, and a detection circuit for verifying whether or not the intensity of incident light is higher than a predetermined value. An electronic shutter control circuit forms a discharge pulse for electronic shutter control from a driving pulse generated in a blanking period of a horizontal synchronizing signal when the intensity of incident light is lower than the predetermined value, and forms dense discharge pulses, whose number is, for example, 256 in one horizontal synchronizing signal, in an effective period of the horizontal synchronizing signal in an area masked in the vertical scanning direction when the intensity of incident light is higher than the predetermined value. High-precision exposure control can be achieved in a close-up by controlling the storage charge amount by the sweep control pulses and the like.

    • A simultaneous electronic endoscope apparatus which is capable of preventing the deterioration of the picture quality due to the difference of the saturation property in mixture signals. The apparatus comprises a charge coupled device provided with a plurality of color filters. Upper and lower pixel signals are mixed in a charge coupled device so as to form mixture signals. When the saturated state of a mixture signal is detected, the gain of the mixture signal is multiplied by a preset coefficient so as to apparently cancel the saturated state. Alternatively two types of luminance signals may be formed by combining the plurality of mixture signals formed on each horizontal scanning line. When the saturated state of a luminance signal is detected, the gain of the luminance signal is amplified so that the level thereof is the same as that of the other luminance signal, thereby apparently cancelling the saturated state.
