    • A proxy response terminal wherein information relating to the call being called is acquired and the call to which a proxy response is to be made is expressly specified so that the call may be responded. The proxy response terminal includes an incoming information acquiring means for requesting the information relating to the call in the calling state to the call control apparatus and a proxy response requesting means for issuing connection request specifying the call to which a proxy response is to be made based on the information notified by the call control apparatus. And the call control apparatus includes an incoming information notifying means for notifying the information relating to the call in the calling state at a terminal in the group to which the proxy response terminal belongs in response to an incoming information acquiring request presented by the proxy response terminal, and a call controlling means for relaying the connection request presented by the calling terminal and the proxy response request presented by the proxy response terminal.

    • An extension telephone using an ordinary telephone circuit cannot be coordinated with a data terminal connected by an IP network. An extension telephone using an ordinary telephone circuit has none of the convenient functions of an IP telephone, such as implementing outgoing/incoming call data management and telephone book management on a PC. A telephone terminal using an ordinary telephone circuit and a data terminal in an IP network can however be coordinated by reflecting telephone calls and call signal details in an IP network by means of a telephone adapter which can send and receive IP network data and call signals using IP network data as a trigger. A user of an ordinary telephone system can easily coordinate a telephone with a data terminal, and even if there is a “modernization time lag” between the data system and telephone system, or the IP telephone system is introduced gradually, an environment is created whereby all users can make maximum use of coordination between the data system and telephone system.

    • In a thin client system which provides a high-quality picture reproduction method and which makes it possible to use a thin client terminal as a TeleVision (TV) phone terminal and a TV conference terminal, a video reproducing module is disposed in a thin client server device and a graphics module is disposed in a thin client terminal. The thin client server device sets a transmission color to a video display area of screen data and sends the screen data via a remote control communication path and simultaneously sends video data via a second route. The thin client terminal receives the screen data and the video data and displays the screen and video data as an overlay image in one same screen using the screen overlay scheme.

    • In IP telephony systems, it has become impossible to detect the location of installation of a telephone terminal from the telephone number, since an IP telephone terminal can be installed in an arbitrary location. Also, even if one observes the calling party number presentation at the time of an incoming call, it has become impossible to grasp from where the calling party is placing the outgoing call. It is possible that, within an IP telephony system, a terminal location detection means is configured and the installation location of a telephone terminal is detected simultaneously with the registration of the telephone terminal. In addition, the problem can be solved by configuring, in an IP telephony server, a device of reporting location information about the correspondent to the telephone terminal and by configuring, in the telephone terminal, a device of displaying the received positional information.
