    • An image processing apparatus includes an image processing unit configured to process an image; an input unit configured to input a start-up instruction to the image processing unit; a detection unit configured to detect that a first electric power is supplied in a case where a supply cable is connected to an electrical outlet in a state of separation of the cable from the outlet; a first non-volatile storage unit and a second volatile storage unit configured to store first and second values, respectively, the first and second values indicating whether being in a valid state for receiving the start-up instruction; a determination unit configured to determine whether the first value indicates the valid state and is different from the second value; and a control unit configured to restrict a second electric power supplied to the image processing unit, and to bring the image processing apparatus into the valid state.

    • An optical position detecting device includes: a plurality of detection light source sections which emits a detection light; a light source driving section which turns on a part of the plurality of detection light source sections in a first period, and turns on the other part thereof in a second period; a first light detecting section which detects the detection light reflected by a object; a second light detecting section which has a sensitivity peak in a wavelength band which is different from that of the first light detecting section and detects the detection light reflected by the object; and a position detecting section which detects the position of the object on the basis of the intensity of the detection light in the first light detecting section and the intensity of the detection light in the second light detecting section in the first and second periods.

    • A transmission apparatus includes a case including first, second, and third stages, each stage having one slot, each slot allowing free insertion and removal of a board; a first control board; a first communication unit connected with the first control board and performing radio communication; and a second communication unit connected with the first control board and performing communication faster than the radio communication.     • An attaching arrangement for attaching, to a communications apparatus container box, an optical cable case which includes a case body for accommodating an optical cable and a case end portion attached to the case body. The first and second rotary hinges rotatably attach the case end portion to a forward end of the slide rail in an advancing direction in which the slide rail moves from the inside of the container box to the outside of the container box.
