    • PURPOSE:To aim at making an engine light weight and compact, by providing a crank web only on one side of a crank pin in a two-cycle engine used for, for example, a reaper, and as well by arranging a governor on the other side in order to shorten a crankshaft. CONSTITUTION:A crankshaft 4 is provided with a crank web 6 only on one side, the left side in Fig., of a crank pin 5, and is coupled with a connecting rod 3. A governor 9 is arranged on the other side, the right side of Fig., of the crank pin 5. Specifically, on the right side of the crank pin 5 a governor shaft 10 is arranged coaxially with the rotating center axis of the crankshaft 4. A governor weight 14 is rotatably journalled to a weight holder 13 having a sleeve part 16 rotatably fitted onto the shaft 10. The weight holder 13 is rotated in association with the rotation of the crank shaft 4 through a projection 22 formed on the right end of the crank pin 5.
