    • In a lens actuator on which a first lens and a second lens are mounted, since the first lens and the second lens are disposed side by side, a problem is involved such that the lens actuator is bulky. The present invention provides a lens actuator comprising a first lens and a second lens having different optical paths, disposed between a light emitting element and an object lens, a holder for holding the first lens and second lens such that the optical axes of the first lens and second lens are parallel to each other, and a driving mechanism for driving the first lens and second lens each in the optical axis directions, wherein the first lens and second lens have respective outer periphery parts respectively outside the effective diameter, and the outer periphery parts of the first lens and the second lens are disposed to be partially overlapped with each other when viewed from the first lens and second lens optical axis direction.

    • This invention aims at reducing a rolling moment generated in coils mounted to lens holder side face without losing drive forces in a focusing direction and tracking direction in an objective lens drive of an optical pickup device. By shifting a coil line portion near the objective lens of two coil line portions substantially parallel to the tracking direction of the first coil in a direction departing from a lens optical axis, increase and decrease in drive forces generated in right and left first coils when the lens holder is moved in the tracking direction cancel each other so as to eliminate imbalance between the right and left drive forces.

    • An objective lens actuator 25, for driving an objective lens 1 for focusing lights upon a recoding surface of an optical disc, comprises a moving part 2, which comprises the objective lens 1 and a coil; a magnet, which is fixed on a yoke and drives the moving part 2; a plural number of elastic support parts, each of which supports the moving part 2 at an end thereof; a first fixing portion 5a and a second fixing portion 5b, which fix other ends of the plural number of elastic support parts 4 and are disposed opposite to each other in a focus direction; and a moving mechanism 6, which is provided on the first and second fixing portion 5a and 5b, so that the first and second fixing portions 5a and 5b can move in the focus direction, relatively, and thereby providing the objective lens actuator 25 enabling to reduce the dynamic relative tilt between the optical disc and the objective lens 1 (i.e., reducing the tilt of the objective lens 1 in the tangential direction when operating), as well as, an optical pickup and an optical disc drive.
