    • The invention relates to a method for forming an operating voltage (VCC2) for an electronic device (1) from a supply voltage (VS2) by means (7, 8) for forming the operating voltage. In the method, a minimum value (Vmin) and a maximum value (Vmax) are defined for the operating voltage (VCC2). The means (7, 8) for forming the operating voltage are provided with at least a first operating voltage supply block (7) and a second operating voltage supply block (8). In the first operating voltage supply block (7), the output voltage is limited smaller than said maximum value (Vmax) for the operating voltage. Furthermore, at least a first limit value (V3) is determined, and the supply voltage (VS2) is compared with said first limit value (V3), wherein if the supply voltage (VS2) is greater than said first limit value (V3), the first operating voltage supply block (7) is activated to form the operating voltage (VCC2) from the supply voltage (VS2). If the supply voltage (VS2) is substantially smaller than said first limit value (V3), the second operating voltage supply block (8) is activated to form the operating voltage (VCC2) from the supply voltage (VS2).

    • The invention describes user equipment for communicating data in a communications system comprising a set of user equipment; comprising a transceiver arranged to receive a first data packet over a communications data channel and an associated second data packet over a communications control channel. The second data packet comprises a first identifier arranged to identify a subset of the set of user equipment and the first data packet comprises a second identifier arranged to identify at least one of the subset of user equipment. The user equipment further comprising a processor arranged to determine from the second data packet first identifier if the said user equipment is one of the said subset of user equipment and from the second identifier if the said user equipment is said the at least one of the subset of user equipment.     • A network schedules a mobile station for an uplink packet transmission on a data channel, receives from a mobile station an uplink message on a control channel, determines from the uplink message a desired power for the mobile station to transmit on the data channel, and thereafter transmits to the mobile station a power control message that commands either a zero power allocation or a full power allocation for the scheduled uplink packet transmission. The mobile station receives from the network the power control message, then determines from the power control message whether zero or full power is allocated. If zero power, then the mobile station suspends its transmissions on the data channel until receiving a new power control command for uplink transmissions on the data channel. If full power, the mobile station transmits user data on the data channel without regard to power on a control channel.
