    • An image-sensing apparatus has: an image sensor sequentially acquiring source images by sequential shooting; an optical zoom control portion varying the size of the subject image on the source images by optical zooming; a particular subject detection portion detecting the position and size of a particular subject on the source images based on the image data of the source images; a narrow-angle image extraction portion setting, in each of the source images, a narrow-angle image including the particular subject based on the result of detection by the particular subject detection portion, to set the position and size of the narrow-angle image on image; a wide-angle image extraction portion extracting, from each of the source images, a wide-angle image that includes the narrow-angle image, that has a larger angle of view than the narrow-angle image, and that has a reference number of pixels; a resolution enhancement processing portion cutting out, from a plurality of temporally consecutive wide-angle images, a plurality of narrow-angle images according to a setting in the narrow-angle image extraction portion, to generate, from the plurality of narrow-angle images, a narrow-angle high-resolution image having a number of pixels greater than the number of pixels of the narrow-angle image; and a recording portion recording the image data of the individual wide-angle images. The optical zoom control portion controls the factor of the optical zooming such that the ratio of the reference number of pixels to the number of pixels of the narrow-angle image approaches the factor of enlargement by the resolution enhancement processing portion.

    • Provided is an image reproducing apparatus including a touch panel monitor which has a display screen and receives touch panel operation performed with an operation member touching the display screen, in which an output image obtained by extracting an image inside an extraction region as a part of an entire image area of an input image from the input image is displayed on the touch panel monitor or a monitor of an external display device. The touch panel monitor receives region specifying operation of specifying a position and a size of the extraction region as one type of the touch panel operation when an entire image of the input image is displayed on the display screen. In the region specifying operation, the position and the size of the extraction region are specified on the basis of a position at which the operation member touches the display screen and a period of time while the operation member is touching the display screen, or on the basis of an initial point and a terminal point of a movement locus of the operation member on the display screen, or on the basis of a plurality of positions at which the a plurality of operation members as the operation member touch the display screen.
