    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively prevent leakage from a press-fitted portion of a steel shell element even under the condition of high ground-water pressure.
      SOLUTION: The steel shell element to be constructed in the ground has an open groove 20 formed therein beforehand, at a location where an earth retaining steel product 3 is to be press-fitted, that follows a cross sectional shape of the earth retaining steel product 3, and a water cutoff device 21 with a water cutoff member for blocking the open groove 20 is prepared. The water cutoff device 21 is formed of an easily breakable first water cutoff member 23 which ensures the water cutoff performance thereof before press-fitting of the earth retaining steel product 3, and a second water cutoff member 24 which is arranged above the first water cutoff member 23 across an interval, and ensures the water cutoff performance after press-fitting of the earth retaining steel product 3. The second water cutoff member 24 is formed of a lower-stage rubber packing 24A and an upper-stage rubber packing 24B which each have an open groove 24a following the cross sectional shape of the underground intrusion body, and the upper-stage rubber packing 24B is arranged at a location that is spaced away from the lower-stage rubber packing 24A.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for reforming an existing pipe conduit so as to construct a new pipe conduit while assembling segments in order on the inside surface of the existing pipe conduit.
      SOLUTION: A machine body capable of travelling inside the existing pipe conduit P is composed of a front side machine body 2A and a rear side machine body 2B. The front side machine body 2A and the rear side machine body 2B are expandably connected by means of an expansion jack 15 so as to relatively slide. The front side machine body 2A has front grippers 4, 4, ..., and the rear side machine body 2B has rear grippers 5, 5, .... The front side machine body 2A is provided with a water passage 6 for flowing the water in the existing pipe conduit, and also weir plates 7, 8 are provided at the front portion and the rear portion of the water passage 6 respectively. In addition, a rotary cleaning blush 11 having its rotation axis in the direction of the existing pipe conduit is arranged on the front side than the front weir plate 7, and an erector 12 capable of assembling the segments in the circumferential direction is arranged on the rear side than the rear side machine body 2B. Further, an end form 14 is provided for receiving back-filling material 13 to be poured between the segment rings configured so as to have a ring shape and the existing pipe conduit P.
