摘要： A take-up rate and a let-off rate in warp feed on a loom are controlled while a displacement of a cloth fell position is taken into account. The system comprises a cloth fell position compensation circuit (2) which outputs a cloth fell compensation signal to compensate a displacement of the cloth fell position when a weaving condition such as a target weft density, a target warp tension or the kinds of weft and warp yarns is changed. The cloth fell compensation signal is added to a basic warp feed rate obtained from target weft density, so that the displacement motion of the cloth fell is completed in a shorter time. According to this compensation, a weft density of a resultant fabric rapidly coincides with the target weft density.

Each guide notch (34) has a upper wall (341) parallel to the floor surface on which the device is placed, a deep wall (342) perpendicular to this surface, a lower wall (343) which gradually becomes wider toward an opening, an upper connecting portion (344) which connects the upper wall (341) to the deep wall (342), and a lower connecting portion (345) which connects the deep wall (342) to the lower wall (343). The radius of curvature of the upper connecting portion (344) is set equal to or smaller than 1 mm, and the radius of curvature of the lower connecting portion (345) is set greater than the radius of curvature of the upper connecting portion (344).

摘要： A weft yam storage unit (10) disposed between a yarn supply package (16) and a weft insertion device (20) for storing a weft yam (18) to be inserted in the warp shed, comprises a differential yarn feeding device (38) for feeding the weft yam from the yarn supply package (16), and a yarn storage means (36) for winding the fed weft yarn therearound by co-operating with the differential yarn feeding device (38), storing the wound weft yam therearound and unwinding the stored weft yarn therefrom by co-operating with the weft insertion device (20), the yarn storage means being continuously rotating in a direction opposite to the direction in which the weft yam is unwound at a predetermined circumferential speed in response to an insertion speed of the weft yarn. This weft yarn storage unit (36) allows high-speed weft insertion while preventing the yarn breakage by reducing ballooning of the weft yarn when the weft yarn is released off the yarn storage drum.
