摘要： PURPOSE:To permit the arbitrary adjustment of thickness of castable refractory without renewing or reconstructing a molding frame by a method wherein the molding frame, provided with an inner surface consisting of steel members and an outer surface consisting of members made of rubber while divided into a plurality of chambers, is employed upon manufacturing a molten metal vessel while castable refractory is poured into divided chambers, after sealing the compressed air of a compressor, which has different pressures, into the divided chambers. CONSTITUTION:A molding frame 2 is formed of an inner surface 4 consisting of steel members and an outer surface 6 consisting of members made of rubber. The molding frame 2 is set to a molten metal vessel 14 and, subsequently, compressed air, having different pressures, is sent into divided spaces in the molding frame 2 in accordance with necessity in order to adjust the thickness of castable refractory 16. The outer surface 6A, made of rubber, at an arbitrary place is inflated outwardly in such a manner and, thereafter, castable refractory 16 is poured into a gap between the molten metal vessel 14 and the molding frame 2. After the castable refractory 16 is cured and the compressed air in the molding frame 2 is discharged, the molding frame 2 is released from the vessel, then, a constructed body, adjusted in the thickness in an arbitrary place, is completed.
