摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely carry out the feeding of each seedling from a seedling takeout tool to a planting unit without damaging the seedling even when transplanting operations are performed at a high speed. SOLUTION: The seedling takeout tool 35 is advanced relatively to the seedling in a pot part in a seedling tray, thrusted into the seedling and retreated to take out the seedling thrusted therewith. The seedling takeout tool 35 is transferred from a posture opposite to the seedling tray to a nearly downward posture opposite to the planting unit 44 and the seedling is then eliminated from the seedling takeout tool 35, dropped and fed to the planting unit 44 which is then lowered and thrusted into a ridge. The planting unit 44 is opened to plant the seedling and subsequently lifted to a seedling receiving position. The movement of the seedling takeout tool 35 is once stopped from or about the time when the seedling is fed to the planting unit 44 with the seedling takeout tool 35 until the planting unit 44 reaches a position in the course of lowering under the seedling receiving position. When the planting unit 44 is moved near the seedling receiving position, the moving speed of the planting unit 44 is reduced from that in other positions.

The longitudinally feeding chains 44 are stretched over a pair of sprockets 42 and 43 in the tray longitudinally feeding direction A and provided with chain guides 52 on the front side in the tray longitudinally feeding direction A of the sprocket 43 on the rear side in the tray longitudinally feeding direction A and the longitudinally feeding chains 44 are passed through the lower side of the chain guides 52 and thereby composed so that the longitudinally feeding pins 24 engage with the spaces between the pot parts P when the longitudinally feeding chains 44 are moved from the undersurface side of the carrying plate 72 to the top surface side thereof as the longitudinally feeding chains 44 face the tray longitudinally feeding direction A.
