摘要： The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating asthma containing maackiain as an active ingredient. The maackiain of the present invention can be used to advantage as a composition for preventing, treating and alleviating asthma because it has an outstanding effect in suppressing the production of ovalbumin and in particular IgE in serum and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and in suppressing the expression of Th2 cytokines in the lungs, in addition to suppressing the volume of active oxygen created in the respiratory tract and suppressing the infiltration of inflammatory cells into the bronchi and relieving respiratory-tract hypersensitivity which constitute problems that cause asthma in in-vivo studies.

摘要： The present invention relates to a kit for diagnosing and screening for asthma, comprising the neuropilin (NRP) gene, and to a method for screening for a therapeutic agent for asthma using the kit. More particularly, NRP1 expression increases due to a patient having asthma and to the extracts of dust mites, and the mRNA of MMP9, protein expression, enzyme activity and promoter activity are associated with a decrease in asthma by means of the inhibition of NRP1 expression, and therefore NRP1 can be valuably used as a target for the development of therapeutic agents for asthma.

摘要： The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition containing styraxlignolide A or the aglycone thereof as an active ingredient for preventing or treating asthma. More particularly, the styraxlignolide A compound is separated from the stem and bark of Styrax japonica, and the styraxlignolide A or homoegonol, which is the aglycone of styraxlignolide A and which has improved safety, has the effect of attenuating weight loss and hypersensitivity of the airway, inhibiting the generation of active oxygen in the airway, inhibiting the generation of IgE, TGF-â1, and IL-17 in the serum and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid, inhibiting inflammatory cell infiltration in the bronchial tubes, and inhibiting the formation of a mucous plug and subepithelial fibrosis in an asthmatic mouse model. Therefore, the above-described styraxlignolide or homoegonol can be effectively used as the active ingredient of a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating bronchial asthma in which airway remodeling has progressed.

摘要： [Abstract] The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for cancer prevention and treatment containing the C12orf59 (chromosome 12 open reading frame 59) gene or C12orf59 protein, or else a fragment thereof, as an active ingredient, and relates to a method for screening cancer-diagnosis or cancer-treatment agent candidate substances using the same, and, more specifically, it has been confirmed that when the C12orf59 protein or a fragment thereof is over-expressed in cancer cell lines, there is a reduction in the expression of ITGA5 which is involved in cancer cell invasion and hence there is a reduction in cancer-cell invasion ability, whereas when the expression of C12orf59 genes is inhibited in cancer cell lines, there is an increase in cancer cell invasion and there is an increase in cancer-cell survivability, and various cell signal transmission pathways are activated, and it has been confirmed that the C12orf59 gene has a function as a tumour suppressor through this. Consequently, the C12orf59 gene or C12orf59 protein, or else a fragment thereof can not only be used to advantage in a pharmaceutical composition for cancer prevention and treatment but can also be used to advantage in a method for screening cancer-diagnosis or cancer-treatment agent candidate substances using the same.

摘要： The present invention relates to human monoclonal antibodies neutralizing vascular endothelial growth factor receptor and the use thereof. More specifically, relates to human ScFv molecules neutralizing vascular endothelial growth factor receptor, and a composition for inhibiting angiogenesis and a composition for treating cancer, which contain the human ScFv molecules. The disclosed monoclonal antibody neutralizing vascular endothelial growth factor receptor shows excellent neutralizing ability in living cells, compared to that of a commercially available antibody against vascular endothelial growth factor receptor, and shows the ability to neutralize vascular endothelial growth factor receptor not only in humans, but also in mice and rats. Thus, the monoclonal antibody will be useful in anticancer studies and will be highly effective in cancer treatment.
