    • The present invention relates to a traffic flow control and dynamic path providing system linked with real-time traffic network structure control based on bidirectional communication function-combined vehicle navigation, and a method thereof, and more specifically, to a real-time traffic flow control and dynamic path providing (traffic control) system and method in which: location information, speed information, and destination information of vehicles are individually transmitted through a bidirectional communication function-combined vehicle navigation device (navigator), and a central center collects and processes said information to generate real-time traffic flow information on the overall traffic network; and the vehicles are dispersed in order to magnify efficiency of the traffic network, and the structure (the number of bidirectional variable traffic lanes, driving direction of the road, and opening/closing operation on the entrance and the exit) of the traffic network is dynamically controlled to minimize the average end-to-end vehicle running time, and at the same, optimal route information on individual vehicles is provided. Unlike the existing intelligent transport system which had to construct a separate device and a separate communication network to collect real-time traffic information, the present invention provides the system and the method, wherein: an interface of the existing wireless network is mounted on a vehicle navigation device to enable bidirectional communication; a central control center (central center) collects and processes necessary information, thereby magnifying the utility of the traffic network even without special investment in and management of facilities; and the average end-to-end running time of the individual vehicles is shortened.
