摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collectively execute the various processings such as compilation and stapling on plural data by recognizing plural data such as picture data which are read by a scanner and printing data from a connected computer as one job and processing it by a digital copying machine. SOLUTION: A document group generated by a computer 6 and a picture which is read by a digital copying machine 2 are printed in a prescribed order. When a whole is stapled, link information that respective data constitute one job is added to data of the document group and the picture and they are printed in the prescribed order. The instruction of effect that the whole is stapled is given, the document group is transmitted to a printer controller 4 from the computer 6 or the picture from the digital copying machine 2. The printer controller 4 stores respective data in a storage device, sequentially prints them with the digital copying machine 2 and staples them when printing is terminated.

SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises a copying machine having an operation display means and a print means, and a controller having a communication means and a hard disk drive. The hard disk drive is provided with a message file consisting of message data in a plurality of languages about a message used for a display on the operation display means. When a language not existing in the message file is needed by the change of a place of destination, the controller receives message data or a message file from the outside through the communication means, and updates the message file. The controller reads the message data of the language corresponding to the change of the place of destination from the message file and gives them to the copying machine, and the copying machine uses the message data from the controller for the display of the operation display means.

During the temporary stop, a copying condition in the present copying process can be set by manipulating an operation panel of an operation input means 2. In the case where papers, toner, ink or the like as materials used in the copying process by the copying machine 1 are running out in the middle of the copying, the materials can be replenished.
