摘要： A wearable electronic device such as a wrist watch (60) is supplied with conventional clock with two pointers (32,33). The device displays a parameter indicative of how "cool" the wearer has been over the past period as a function of time, using the time axis of one of the pointers (32,33). "Coolness" can be based on the measurement of related physiological parameters like heart-rate, body temperature, movement, skin resistance or muscle activity. "Coolness" of a person is understood as being the ability to cope with stress. Therefore, the stability of physiological parameters can be used to derive a signal for the subjective trait called "coolness". All physiological parameters can be measured by sensors (10) in the watch (60) or in the strap (50). The invention is used as a gadget for self expression and emotional feedback.

摘要： There is therefore provided a method of estimating the location of a mobile device, the mobile device being configured for use in a cellular mobile communications network comprising a plurality of base stations, the method comprising generating a database of locations visited by the mobile device by obtaining measurements of the position of the mobile device over time using a satellite-based positioning system; obtaining the identity of the base station serving the mobile device at the time of each measurement of the position of the mobile device; and analyzing the measurements to identify locations visited by the mobile device, each location being associated with a particular base station, such that the mobile device is attached to said base station when at said location; and during subsequent use of the mobile device, in the event that it is not possible to use the satellite-based positioning system to measure the position of the mobile device, estimating the location of the mobile device as one or more identified locations that are associated with the base station to which the mobile device is currently attached. 摘要： The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a sheet-like electronic device which is bendable and stretchable. A first support substrate (11) is provided having arranged thereon a plurality of spaced apart (17) electronic circuit elements, each circuit element having at least one conductive contact pad facing away from the substrate (11). A second substrate (51) is also provided having arranged thereon a plurality of conductive tracks (53), ends of the conductive tracks having conductive contact pads (55). The first and second substrates (11, 51) are brought together such that the contact pads of the circuit elements face the contact pads (17) of the conductive tracks. The circuit elements (21) are attached to the second substrate such that the contact pads (55) of the circuit elements are electrically connected to the contact pads of the conductive tracks (53). The circuit elements (21) are then released from the first support substrate (11). The second substrate (51) of the device, to which the circuit elements (21) are attached, is bendable and stretchable, and this allows the device to conform to different curved surfaces.

摘要： A fiber suitable for incorporation into a woven, knitted, braided or crocheted fabric or a fiberglass laminate structure is disclosed. The fiber comprising an elongate substrate arrangement having a length direction parallel to the axis of the fiber, the elongate substrate arrangement including a substrate formed of a plastics material and thin film electronic elements arranged over the substrate. The fiber also comprises a cladding layer formed of a plastics material and encapsulating the substrate arrangement. The substrate and the electronic elements are surrounded by the cladding layer along at least a portion of the length of the substrate arrangement, the cladding layer defining a rounded outer cross sectional shape. The substrate may be twisted about the fiber axis, in which case the fiber cross-section may be round. The cladding layer may be electrically conductive in discrete regions corresponding to positions of contact pads along the length of the substrate arrangement.
