摘要： The invention relates to an optically anisotropic body, such as a compensation foil or a micro-lens array, having a desired pattern of optical properties. Said body is obtainable by a method wherein a non-uniform electric and/or magnetic field is applied over a body comprising a polymerizable electro-optical and/or magneto-optical material, such as a LC monomer, thus inducing a desired molecular pattern. The pattern is made permanent by polymerising the electro-optical and/or magneto-optical material.

The pixels are grouped such that different pixels in a group correspond to different views of the image. A display driver controls a transmission characteristic of each pixel to generate an image according to received image data. The drive signals applied to each pixel in the display panel are adjusted using grey scale correction values that vary the optical transmission of each pixel within a group so as to produce an image grey scale for each point in the image that is independent of viewing direction.

摘要： A multi view display comprising a light emitting element having an optical cavity formed by a first and a second reflecting layer, at least said second reflecting layer being semi-transparent, and a light emitting layer arranged between said reflecting layers, wherein said optical cavity is designed so that light emitted in at least two preferred viewing directions has a higher intensity than light emitted in other directions. The invention is based on interference phenomena in the optical cavity, making it possible to realize a light emitting element that intrinsically emits more light in the preferential viewing directions than in other directions. This emission profile makes the light emitting element very useful in a multi view display, reducing the problems of cross talk.

摘要： In a method and device for generating and/or displaying 3D images the depth of content (d) of an image or a part of an image is temporarily increased to a high level (h) where after the depth of content is decreased to a low level (1). This temporary increase of the depth of content renders a large 3D effect to the image or the part of the image to which it has been applied. It has been found that this enhancement effect of an increased 3D effect lingers on in the perception of the viewer even after application. The actual average depth of content can be made relatively low thus reducing fatigue, while the perceived depth of content is relatively high.
