    • The object of the invention is a tensioning arrangement for a traction means of an elevator, which arrangement comprises at least an elevator car configured to move up and down in an elevator hoistway and at least one or more compensating weights, which are for their part connected to support the elevator car by the aid of their own support means, such as by the aid of ropes or belts and also of diverting pulleys, and a hoisting machine provided with at least one traction sheave or corresponding, and also at least one traction means (7) such as a belt, rope or chain, which is configured to transmit the rotational movement of the traction sheave into movement of the elevator car and of the compensating weights. The traction means (7) is fixed from at least one of its ends to a fixing means (1) providing an essentially constant tensioning force.

    • A toe guard (1) for an elevator car (2), said toe guard comprising a movable panel (3).     • The invention concerns a method and a system for integrating electric elements of an elevator in a single module, e.g. in the door operator of the elevator. Especially to reduce the number of components to be installed and to enable the electric-elements of the elevator system to be added to the door operator on the elevator car already at the manufacturing stage. The basic idea of the method of the invention is to integrate electric components to be placed in the elevator system, such as location elements, acceleration sensors and door zone sensors, with the door operator or some other module already at the manufacturing stage of the elevator, e.g. by placing the active parts of the sensors in conjunction with the door operator and the passive parts on the floor level side.
