    • The object of the invention is a control arrangement of a transport system and a method in connection with a transport system. A constant-speed stage, in which passengers are transported at a constant-speed, is implemented in a constant-speed section (3). A deceleration stage, in which the speed of transport of passengers is decelerated via stepwise decreasing successive even speeds to a substantially slow final speed, is implemented in a deceleration section. In the acceleration stage/section (2) and/or in the deceleration stage/section (4), the transport speed is changed in a stepwise manner such that the average acceleration experienced by the passengers is constant substantially during the entire acceleration/deceleration stage.
